We used uship and selected Howell Trucking to transport our boat about 700 miles. We did this well in advance (months) and my husband spoke to the driver several times working out the details. Two weeks before the boat was due to be picked up I get an email regarding confusion on the city it was to be picked up in saying they needed extra money because it was 200 miles further. Something I addressed in the original bid that we had the boat in repair 34 miles from our original bid location and my husband sent them the address and phone. They wanted more money. I said OK, then they said they wanted the boat the Friday prior to take it to their location. I said no it was not ready but would be by Monday as planned. After that they wanted an up front paypal no credit card payment prior to picking up the boat. They said they would pick the boat up on Wednesday or Thursday and sent a payment a request for the full amount the Friday prior. As we already had a deposit paid and the original terms were pay on arrival this was a bit strange. i offered to pay when the boat was picked up. We offered to wire money on arrival or have a check for them, but they wanted the advance cash through paypal. On Monday they cancelled via uship with no phone call or email. On Tuesday I emailed them and called no call back. I offered to pay right then on paypal and they said they were cancelling via email due to lack of payment! So they strung us out to see if they could get more money and the boat then cancelled.. They tried to pick the boat up to take elsewhere. I hope to get my deposit back and just want to warn others. Supposedly a father son company but only 1 registered CDL. Dishonest and possibly a scammer.
