I am a poor senior with no assets. My income totals $741 per month. I own nothing not even a car. I do not drive. I use a wheelchair out in public. The Indiana department of family services has chosen to harass me and has sent me a letter regarding the discontinuation of my medicaid benefits even though I am qualified to receive medicaid. The reason they gave: they said I failed to give them requested information on an bank account that was closed last year, 7/2013. They sent the request with the wrong account number (2882 instead of 3882). I wonder if they are capable of reading and writing.I always send out income verification to them via certified mail, at a great expense and trouble so there is no question. But there is still a question about my ‘assets’. This is why I can only assume that this is intentional harassment. Now I must go to my local FSSA office with all this info in order to kept the benefits I am entitled to. .
