Today on 5/28/2015 around 11am PDT. I received a call from a foreign person calling them self Bruce from the Department of Legal Affairs via the IRS. They asked if they could speak to {me by name} they had called before but I ignored the call dedciding to answer this time Bruce stated off my telling me that there was a legal action pending against me with the IRS and they wanted to know who my legal reprehensive was. I told them I did not have a lawyer and wanted to know what this legal action was about…Bruce spoke very rapidly and hard to understand. So I told him why someone from India would be calling me about a legal action in the US. He then asked me why I tought he was from India. I said for one your strong accent. And then there’s the way you say things it was very un-American. He proceeded to tell me he was from CA and that there was a very serious legal action against me that needed to be taken care of right away. I asked what the legal action was and he told me he was unable to discuss it with me. So I asked for his supervisor, his full name and again his badge number he gave me when he called but it was so fast I didn’t get to write it down. He hung up on me… {THE IRS NERVER HANGS UP ON YOU}!!!1 So I called back the number1-818-937-0685. I was very surprised when he answered. I explained that someone hung up on me and that I would like to speak with a supervisor. Next second anther foreign sounding person (who was trying very hard to sound American and failing) it’s in the way they phrase a statement or a sentence. Telling me again the legal action had been started against me and that I needed to take care of it…I told him that I listen to the news and that the IRS never cold calls they always send a letter and that I have received to letter…he then proceeded to read off my address. And I again stated that I wanted to know what the legal proceedings were. He hung up on me…I called back getting the 1st person again. I again explained that they kept hanging up on me without telling me what the legal proceeding were against me….He started speaking very fast, and I then asked if he was trying to hit me up for money. They if it was a real legal proceeding I would have received a certified letter from an American lawyer. He then started speaking very harshly and loudly that if this was the way I wanted it they would proceed with the legal action against me and hung up ( for the 3rd and last time… Well of course I knew that minute they called it was a scam…what I just couldn’t get them to tell me was what the scam was and how much it would cost me…what I should have done was let him get it all out to find out what the punch line was..haha
