James Tresh

I am a seasoned psychotherapist, and have been in practice for many years. I have trained and supervised new therapists to help them prepare for professional licensure and work with clients. I have treated patients in all stages of life. Many of my patients have had relatively serious emotional problems. I have also worked with many individuals who are facing dramatic changes in their lives, such as facing the death of loved-ones, separation and divorce, loss of job and other significant life events. I also work with persons suffering from addiction to alcohol or other drugs.My patients are very diverse. Many of them originate from other countries, such as Italy and Spanish speaking countries. Finally, I have over 30 years of experience in treating Deaf and Hard of Hearing patients who use American Sign Language as their primary means of communication.I have had extensive training in Forensic Psychology. I have done evaluations for the criminal justice system to assess competency to proceed and to assist legal counsel. Finally, I have worked with patients with other physical, mental and emotional disabilities.
