I have repeated contacted the company since we moved into our new home in 09/2017. The exterior french doors do not close properly. The screen system does not work properly either. Repair people came out and had to cut the door frame to make the screen fit into the slot alotted for them. | The main door does not close and a repair person came out and we were told the door was defective and it was up to Jeld-Wen to compensate. The doors no longer close proplerly so you can actually see outside if they are not locked. I have to always keep them locked so if someone is coming I still would not be able to unlock them so they can walk in without me rushing to the door. | The last time they came out in 12/2018, I was suppose to receive a report about the repairman’s findings but never did. I repeated sent an email asking for a report with no answer. I do not know if the person I had to deal with is still there or not. Being seniors on SOC, we cannot afford another door but there is no other alternative. | I was hoping to get this resolved without having to incure a large bill. These doors cost $2,400 and are even more expensive now. It is very disappointing to have a new house with defective doors and a manufacturer not willing to fix them.
