Johanna Hebl and secondarily her boss, Eric Matlin are lawyers of a law firm which is completely overpriced and overboard. These two lawyers were handling an estate/property issue of my aunt, who passed away recently.
After her death, I was to handle her case and talk to these lawyers regarding the estate. When I spoke to them over the phone, they told me that she was billed for thousands of dollars, which was higher than the estimate I was informed before.
The two lawyers were not concerned about the death of my aunt but all they cared about was the money and they wanted it soon. They did not bother about the mourning and emotions the family was going through, they were only concerned about their money and were forcing the family to pay their debt.
Several times when I tried to contact them, they did not return my calls or emails and sometimes also missed the meetings which we scheduled with a lot of difficulty. Also when I pushed myself to communicate with them, they often gave me the cold shoulder and bad attitude, as if they were doing a favor to me. They even said inappropriate things at times, and that shocked the family.
I am writing this complaint while I am at the office of my lawyers as I have filed a case against the two regarding litigation against the attorneys at this firm.
I’d suggest everyone not to contact or work with this firm, because they don’t care. They don’t care about anyone but themselves and their money. You will be very grateful, believe me they are not good people. I’m sure there are plenty of reputable firms out there which can be contacted, but this firm, don’t even think about it. They should be sued for what they do.
