A sales rep came to my home to sell a Kirby Vacumn, after unexpectedly knocking on my door saying they wanted to clean my carpets. I have used Kirby Vacumns for years, so I said they could come in. I purchased the vacumn after very determined sales person pushed until I bought it, mostly just to get them out of my house. The contract stated I had to 3 days to return it for a full refund. I called several times to return the vacumn–no one would answer the phone, so I left several messages and told them to come and pick it up. They finally returned my call and we scheduled a date for them to pick it up. They didn’t show up, so I called again and once again someone finally called me back and we scheduled another date. This time they showed up and took the vacumn with them. I made sure to have the guy write on my recipt that he picked the vacumn up and the date that he took it. He said it would be 7 to 10 days before I would see the credit on your credit card. I waited 20 days and started leaving messages for them to please call me. Yesterday (it”s now been 30 days) I called and said “You need to call me or I am going to start a dispute report” which I started today because they didn’t bother call me back. I called both my credit card company and the main Kirby office and started the process. I faxed the sales recipt to the main Kirby office showing that the sales person signed that he did pick the vacumn up. Waiting to see what happens………. Seems like K & R Distributing or DGC Enterprises (they go by both names) and both use the same phone number is a very SHADY company. I do not recommend working with them. I do like the Kirby product, but I will never buy from them again if they don’t put the above named company out of business. The vacumns are way overpriced to begin with, but they are a good product, however if the service is going to be this poor I will find another company to give my business to. .
