. Keiser University Online is much different than any online or brick and mortar school I have ever heard of. I attended there from 2012-2013, online for and Associates in Medical Assisting. I qualified for full financial aid and pell grants. I was awarded for a full year broken into semesters. During the first semester I purchased a majority of my books, which at this point might have been wrong, but I did it. I completed a full year, however in my 3rd semester, 2nd year I withdrew within the day/days of the semester starting. I never even signed on. I withdrew due to issues of getting placement for clinicals that were required for graduation. No one within the program was even assisting me with placement, and after 3 months of looking I gave up, because it was coming time, and I had no luck in finding a location. Now 2 years later, when trying to complete my degree through Liberty University, I am told I cannot get my official transcript because I owe over $3,000 which within the 2 years I didn’t know. With the full financial aid and grants it didn’t make sense, I could understand a couple hundred for a book purchased for the 3rd semester. After attempting to reach people at Keiser for months, I finally was told well you went over your allowed book amount, something like $2000. And we charged 10% for the 3rd semester, not class full semester, for those 3 days before official withdrawl. Never did I receive notice of any amount owed. They will not accept book buybacks, so I am out of luck there, and will not release my official transcript so I cannot complete my degree. I am a mother of two, and just had my dream shattered over money I didn’t even know I owed, if I truly do. I have not seen a balance sheet, but I am paying back financial aid loans through the department of education for my time at Keiser. Please stay away this school is overly expensive, and offeres NO help. All they want is money they do not care about education at all. .

In 2007 i attended keiser college for medical assisting, I was not in the school a whole semester, i withdrew from school because of family issues, so the school took it apon thereself to charge me for a whole semester 7,000 dollars i do not owe any student loans. i never recieved a phone call, a letter of any sort i went to the school in 2014 to get an official transcript they said i owed them 7,000 and i said for what so for me to get 6 credits which are on one class they are charging me for a whole semester so now my life and carreer is on hold until i pay them money i have no clue of what for. this is obserd. now they have directed me to call a number to wheel and deal with an individeal to barter money so far it has went from 7000 to 3000 i have emailed these people and now i have gotten no response. my educational needs are extreamly important. now my life is on hold. i can see if people owe money for student loans, i do not, therefore they are withholding 6 credits which can be easily retakin now i cannot get into a community college without my transcript. someone needs to look into this scam. HELP.
At first, a month ago when i
At first, a month ago when i went to the Fort Lauderdale campus to ask for information about the University people was nice, specially the admission counselor i sat with Mss Valenzuela. Then when i was transferred to the financial aids department, it was when everything went into frustrations, miscommunication and lack of organization, then at the end a complete wrong, abusive, ignorant, arrogant, disrespectful, mistreatment from what they call there “Director of Admissions” Mr. Mike Morley. I completely don’t understand how such an arrogant, ignorant, nasty, closed mind, low class and with no sense about respect for him self and the institution he works for, can be a “Director” of Admissions for a supposedly well recognized University. On July 23th/2014 on the orientation day, after expressing my feelings to Mss Valenzuela about the miscommunication and lack of organization between the financial department and admissions department, this “Director of Admissions” Mr. Mike Morley without introducing him self got me in his office to raise his voice, ask me if i wanted to argue with him, shut down my aspirations with Keiser telling me that they are not the school for me and that i should look for another schools, then kicked me out his office for no agreeing with me and not having empathy for my frustrations with the miscommunication and horrible organization there, and he went completely wrong when while i was walking out his office he said GO TO HELL! What a joke!!!, what a shame!!!, Keiser has someone like that as a Director of Admissions, I wonder how many students have been victim of the same mistreatment from that ignorant and arrogant “Director”. Come on Keiser, you can do better than that, there are many well educated, professional, and respectful people out there looking for a job and I’m completely sure they will do better than “Director Mike Morley”, this ignorant, arrogant, disrespectful “Director” is just making you not only to lose students but also reputation out there. My best advise to future students that are looking for college or university, THINK TWICE VERY WELL before getting into Keiser, you might end up sitting with that ignorant, disrespectful and with very poor customer services ethics “Director of Admissions Mike Morley.
I attended Keiser for 2 years after
I attended Keiser for 2 years after transferring from another private college in NE (that I also have issues with!). The whole world was promised me by admissions when I got my Wonderlich test results back. I chose to do x-ray, and despite having a great score on my Wonderlich, I was told I still had to take pre-requisites because all but 1 of the classes transferred in didnt match the requirements for the pre-requisites they said I needed. Odd I thought, but whatever. Keiser promotes their flexibility in classes all over their print and tv advertising. What they fail to mention is that some of the programs “”core”” classes arent flexible… AT ALL! That wasnt a big problem for me but for plenty of other students it was, and I thought it very unfair to them. Strike 1: False Advertising. The quality of the education provided really shouldnt have the word “”QUALITY”” anywhere the word “”education””. Some of the instructors were so off-topic most of the time that several of the students had complained, even to the higher ups. Nothing was ever done. The drug use, especially on the Melbourne campus, runs rampant and interferes with the studies of those that actually care about their education. Again, several students brought this up to administration and nothing was ever done. For a school that “”prides”” itself on the quality of professionals they educate, they sure dont care that their students are going out to hospitals on clinicals caring for seriously ill patients while snorting coke and smoking weed at any given chance! Strike 2: Lack of quality education (more on this coming…) As I was preparing to graduate, Keiser goes into their speechs of helping you find a job. What this really is is them throwing a stack of papers stapled together, them saying “”Use plenty of these words in your resume””, telling you to submit a resume to the head of your department and to administration (they dont care what it looks like after glancing at it for 3 seconds), telling you to upload it to their career website, and walking away. I am not good with resumes at all. I scheduled an appointment with Ms. Pamphile who was in charge of this aspect, and I was in there for all of 4 minutes before she told me to use the booklet for reference and sent me on out. Really?

18 years ago I went to Keiser College to discuss my future education. At the time I had a 3 year old son and was not sure if going back to school while also working full time was achievable for me. The school kept me in a room explaining to me that if I couldn”t do it there would be no recourse and that I should give it a try. I borrowed money from my dad and took out loans. I completed 3 classes and then decided it was too much I never saw my son I worked and did school nothing else. Since that time I have paid off thousands in student loans for those three classes After paying off my loans and losing my job I decided it was time to go back to school. Keiser has refused to send my transcripts making me lose my financial aid for my current classes. I finally after several phone calls and ignored correspondence by mail, was told I owe even more money for classes I did not attend. I tried to make a settlement offer but the school has not responded to my emails. My deadline to get this resolved is tomorrow and the school has not even contacted me to reject my offer. I am now being kicked out of classes that I have attended for four weeks and have lost my financial aid. I believe this school lied to me from the start and now have hindered me from continuing my education. Please advise on what my next step should would be.

Financial Aid constantly pulls my child out of class. None of he financial aid people including there director are properly trained. They insist on being provided incorrect information. They do not return calls. They insist on my taking time off of work to respond to them after they have sat on information for months. I have contacted IRS and FSA who both tell me I, a bookkeeper for over 40 years, is correct and the school is wrong. The school then tells me the IRS and FSA are wrong and lying to me.
Keiser University Reviews & Complaints
First off, their staff pressured my daughter into enrolling. The staff told her all kinds of mis information. She originally wanted to enroll in Physical Therapy. They told her they will have it soon and she should do Nusring or Occupational Therapy and just transfer, when Physical Therapy comes…My daughter kept emphasizing she wanted to do Physical Therapy! We came in one Saturday for a tour(which we never got around to) & about registration information and etc. They asked her to start the following Monday, to go to class 2 times a week. My daughter took the testing and supposely passed them all that were given. We asked about Financial Aid and etc. They informed us they would take care of that aspect on the following week when she was to start classes. We were a little uncomfortable about the whole situation & how it was handled from beginning to end. My daughter just graduated this year(June 2009), she was/is unemployed. They told her she would need to get a job to pay for Tuition and take out a loan. They also told us we would have to take out a loan to help pay her tuition, which they approved us for to use toward our daughters tuition, without out consent. We refused the loans of course. We explained to them, that we were trying to get out of debt, not get more into debt! The following week(WK 2) the financial guy had our daughter come in to sign another form that she will pay $50 to start that same week, every month, without our permission. We started getting all kinds of broken & unruly requests at this point. My husband & I set up an appointment at this point, we were trying to understand the why all of a sudden nothing was going as planned & promised. Long story short, we decided to withdraw our daughter out of Keiser University. They now claim we owe them approx. $16oo for withdrawing our daughter! We also found out from the Dean”s mouth(the same day we were to withdraw her) that our daughter was not enrolled in the class she supposely had enrolled, that she was put on a waiting list until March of 2010… This has just been a very bad experience! My daughter went a total of three days in two weeks. She went the first week, two days, then the next week, that Monday, which she had her first test & scored a 98 on the Test, we withdrew her. Then they were so unorganize when we were trying to withdraw her. They claim they never had any one to withdraw & didn”t know what to do. They gave us several different figures that we owed them. We had put $200 down, not refunded. We had paid for a new book, unused, they wouldn”t take it back and refund as well, another approx. $120 we lost!!! To all the readers, please do your research, ask questions, write every word & answers down, who gave you the information, date & times as well. We hope and pray no goes through this situation. On top of that, the staff was very unprofessional, which topped it all off!! This was a costly mistake, however it is a lesson learned, who I do business with!!! Thank you for listening!!! Have a bless day!!! Signed, Check your resources twice
Keiser University Reviews & Complaints
Hello my name is Remona Walcott and I currently attend Keiser University Online. When I first joined Keiser everyone was extremely nice and helpful. I had one issue during my course of schooling and from there I realized that I am basically on my own when it comes to getting any problems rectify and that’s absolutely fine. After my 4th or 5th class I went from getting updates such as emails or calls to getting none at all. All of the “I will be here to walk you through if you ever need anything” was out of the door. But that’s common, I’ve been the one making the calls and emails making sure that I’m not blind-sided by anything and sadly I was. In November I received refund check just before thanksgiving. I called Brad in admissions and asked him basically how was I looking? I knew that I was passing and I wanted to make sure that everything was going to be in order prior to me starting my clinicals. He told me everything is fine however I won’t be starting my clinicals in January because they’ve already picked all the students for that start date I would be starting in May. Which startled me because when I sat down with my sister and Brad it was always a start date of January. But I didn’t fuss I proceeded to ask him about my other options such as changing schools so that I can start earlier in which he wasn’t really helpful with but I understand he wants me to stay with Keiser and that’s fine. Then in December I got a call from Jennifer Borrows about needing to take over a class because I got a C and I needed at least a B to get into the nursing program which I was very edgy bout. Because I took this class in September and I spoke with Brad in November. Why didn’t Brad tell me that I didn’t score high enough to get into the nursing program? Which made me question if he even looked at my grades when I called. I was frustrated but I got over it pretty quickly because he did tell me clinicals start in May so I could get in this class, pass it and get it out of the way. While speaking with Jennifer I inquired about financial aide. She told me after I submitted my grade forgiveness paperwork she will contact whomever in financial aide and we will get everything taken care of prior to starting class on January 8th. I checked my email and noticed I never received the grade forgiveness contract so I called the school January 3rd and spoke with Jennifer Borrows she said she had more than one email address for me that’s why I didn’t get it. However I am active on both email addresses and never received anything. She then told me she would send it right away and I just need to fill it out and send it back. As soon as I got the contract I printed it, signed it and faxed it back to the school. I called to ensure she got it she said yes she has to turn it in and everything should be good. I then inquired about financial aide and she told me if financial aide needs any additional information or signatures from me they would contact me. Her response did not sit well with me but this her profession so I trusted her. I emailed her to see if all the paperwork was set and she said I’m all set. I inquired again about financial aide and I got no response. January 8th was the starting date for my class I got an email from my instructor stating that she missed me in class today and to please let the school know if I am dropping the class. I called my instructor immediately and she told me that she is an on campus class. I apologized and told her I am an online student and I will get it all straightened out. I called the school and they switched me immediately I again inquired about financial aid and the lady told me everything checks out on her end. I said can I please speak to someone in financial aid? She said if I would like I can make an appointment but as of right now she sees no issues. I scheduled an appointment to see someone and there is where I was told I have to return the money that was given to me. Now I understand I added a class and this is the procedure BUT if Bras had looked at my grades in NOVEMBER when I called him the money would still be in my account and I would have handed it right back then and there. If I had a chance to meet with financial aide prior to starting this class I would have had the option to sit out a semester or do what ever that would have been cost efficient to me. I did not have that choice, I feel like I was tricked and my only option is to get a private loan which means more debt or pay monthly which I can not afford. I am writing to you to see if something can be done. I believe preparation is the key to anything that you do and I was not properly prepared or advised of what adding a new class would do to me financially before starting. I feel betrayed and blind sided and I really don’t want this to happen to anyone else. I am now blocked from my online course and unable to continue because of this situation. Can you help me please? Again my name is Remona Walcott

I am a student of keiser university in the Daytona campus. I just completed my last class Friday August 21st. I passed all my classes and was assigned to my clinical site 3 weeks ago so every thing looked awesome and I was ready to go looking to the future. 4 months of clinicals and prepare to take my state exam in January. I received a call Friday at 5 pm the day I finished my final exam in the last class which I made a B in. I was called and told that I would not be able to continue on and complete my rotations because my GPA was not high enough. I was never adviced or couseled as Keiser just continues to take my money and now that I have passed all classes they will not allow me to continue unless I start at the very beginning. This makes no sense to me.. PLease if any one can help or give any advice please reach me at [protected] or email me at [protected]@gmail.com

I applied for the admission counselor position some time back at Keiser University in Miami. I attended what the employer called a “formal meeting, ” although I was told that it was going to be an interview before I drove down to Miami from Fort Lauderdale. Actually, that day my husband took off work to drive me to the “formal meeting” that was supposed to be an interview. Nevertheless, after the “meeting, ” the employer informed us that we were going to be sent some sort of psychological/personality test online that was needed to be completed before the actual interview. After not receiving it right away, I called the employer and they informed me that they will indeed be sending me the test. After that, I made multiple phone calls and left messages to the secretaries in order for the employer to contact me regarding the test that they had already promised to send me and still never sent. In fact, I never heard anything back even till this day. I completely agree with the fact that a company, organization, or a university has the right to hire whom they chose. However, it is only professional and courteous to send a simple letter, even via postal mail, saying something like “thank you for your interest as a…unfortunately this position has been filled…” Not only have I never received such a mail, I did not even get a response from my phone calls. Moreover, I do not appreciate the fact that the employer frankly lied to me saying that they WOULD send me the online test. It is disappointing that this kind of unprofessional behavior is coming from an academic institution that serves the community. What kind of role models are they? I simply feel that this is perhaps more than an extreme case of disorganization or lack of professionalism on their part, but something more concerning–that being discrimination. Being an “equal opportunity employer” (EOE), is more than just having a framed certificate on the wall. Instead, it represents that the university should give every applicant a fair look regardless of race, physical disability, or sexual orientation, for example. I feel, that perhaps due to my country of origin, I was not treated fairly not only during the meeting, but in their lack of correspondence. Again, I am honestly really NOT upset about not being hired. But, I am human and I should be treated with some respect other than given false promises and then just ignoring my inquiries by running away. It is out of the principles of professionalism and fairness that I am writing this as well as the fact that although it is OK for a company or university not to hire someone, everyone should be given an “equal opportunity” during the process, thereby not being lied to and thus being treated fairly with dignity and respect.

I attended Keiser University when I was much younger. I originally went to Keiser to get my Bachelors in Elementary Education and I came out of there with an AA in paralegal studies. They practically swindled me into taking the paralegal courses instead because they did not offer the Elementary Education program there. They said not to worry because I can always transfer my credits. I got approved for all sorts of student loans and financial aid. However, at the end of my career they decided to tell me that “I” did not submit my financial aid application on time and now I owe them $4000. I graduated in 2009 and I have been unable to get my transcripts or pay that outrageous amount of money so that I can further my education. I am a single mom of three boys and they will not work with me at all. They want there money and will not give me a break.

I don’t know if you will find many students with good experiences but I am sure you will find a path of financial destruction to the majority of students. Finding an attorney that is experienced with this type of litigation may be a problem since I am sure Keiser possesses a strong legal department to pull off this scam and if you connect the dots you will find the owners have several political connections. jbvnd, the beauty of their scam is they do not defraud the lenders because if you do not complete the semester they return the monies to the lender and bill you direct. Unfortunately, contacting you local representative is a waste of time since they donate monies to their campaign election. We could try applying the RICO Act which addresses their activity.

I have to seriously object to what these institutions are doing to students today, both the schools and the medical facilities and there lying doctors…my wife signed up for the medical assistant classes at Keiser U in orlando…you know medical assistant the position that is sweeping the country right now!…”yeah right!!!” she completed this course with top honors a 3.8 GPA finish with flying colors..at this point we believed like many that we were on our way…oh boy to our surprise..my wife leaves her job of couse… because they require you to take there externship for two FREE month”s, now like many out there believe if you prove yourself somehow and you do everything correct you will be hired on the spot by theses clinics or hospital..well don”t you believe it, the first clinic my wife was sent to was one in winter park privately owned, they took my wife in and practically told her they may have a position, but as the training went by my wife noticed they weren”t teaching her much and current employees were threaten by her presence there thinking she was there to take there job or something…my wife called keiser they said ok finish there then we will send you somewhere else…when she finished there, she was literally interviewed by a doctor on Alafaya trail next to UCF…he told the school he had positions availiable..so my wife goes we are excited he saids she was a fast learner bla..bla..bla…he was going to teach her everything in his clinic well the month went by and when the wifey finished the doctor told her…that he was not that busy and that he can call her to come in sometime…this was a shock…i mean where is the protection for students…doctors are clearly lying to schools to get free labored help in there clinics, and schools are not exposing these schools and saying to them please don”t waste our time if your not going to properly teach and seriously offer a job to at least one of our graduates… someone is benefiting from this fiasco, the school the doctors etc…not the student!…there are medical assistance out there working in walmarts, and other places other than M.A. this is dangerous, many can forget what they have done and really make mistakes in the field…but that”s not all…the Medical facilities with all there wisdom and support…throw ads saying they want M.A.”s with degrees, certification which the schools gives you 4 months after you”ve completed your extership if they don”t screw up and leave you out the list like they did my wife recently, but anyway some of these clinics are asking two, and now three years of experience…because they know that the gov”t is going mad crazy and giving hundreds of minorities loans for this field by the boat loads…yeah…you want to get in on the action…not if they can help it…these vo-tech schools are suppose to study the markets…offering what is hot and staying away with what is not…M.A.”s is NOT!…but they continue to issue loans at record pace to students knowing real well they have old students not being hired in the field especially with six other colleges offering the the same classes with large amounts of students…i mean the jobs are not there…to me that is fraudulant and misleading…no one should have to graduate from a school with high honors to be rejected and told they have no experience…and be stuck with a loan of $25 grand or more and un-employed, the school must protect old and new students from these lying doctors and private clinics, and bust there ### to assist in getting jobs for there students, instead of loans to study a dead end field not grabbing there half of the gov”t check and leave you out there to burn by yourself, they tell her keep sending resumes, resumes, after resumes…but still nothing only the next group of M.A.”s going to the same doctors who tell the school send me more students please we need more free slaves…”i mean”… more potential keiser students..lol…man what a waste of time and money that was!…Keiser please step up and help these students and stop wasting there time!

I hope that people read this!! I went to keiser for a little over a year and had to stop attending because of personal reasons. The teachers there seemed really nice and probably really knew what they were doing and cared but as far as the rest of the school goes I think they are commisioned based and tell you whatever it is they have to to get you to sign up for their school. When I first started there I was told that I couldn’t get financial aid so I said that was ok but stressed the fact that I didn’t want a student loan. The person whom which I was speaking to said that was not a problem but that I would have to pay $600 per month I said that was fine and agreed to pay that ammount. Everything went well, or so I thought so I signed up for year two. This time they said that I could get aid and that my payments would be around $50 I said again that I didn’t want a student loan and again was told that was fine. About 3 months in I started having problems and had to withdraw. I was told that they would send me a letter showing the remainder of my financial obligations towards them, which I never recieved. About 4 months ago fms started calling me non stop about the $3000 I owed keiser university and I also have a $10, 000 student loan to pay for the year and a half that I attended there so basically for the ammount of time I went to school there they charged over $20, 000. The education that you get there is not worth that kind of money and now I am stuck with a student loan that I specifically said I didn’t want. If anyone out there knows what I can do about this please let me know it would be much appreciated! For those of you who are considering going there I can’t tell you not to but just think about it first it as a lot of money for a second rate education!!

I recieved a scholarship and i had a cosigner and still owed them money, i had to drop out then re sign up a few months later due to personal reasons and low and behold they found a grant that paid for all of the classes through a federal fund. now saying that i owe them 3, 000 dollars from the first time they took my money. I never saw a penny of my scholarship money and i had to pay out of pocket for all of my books. they will not even release my transcripts until i pay them the money they took from me for my scholarship. waste of my time and a waste of a building that they so call opportunity.

I see a lot of us are having problems with Keiser due to loans etc. I am going to sue Keiser and if anyone is interested in getting a group of us together for this please message me and we will go from there. Keiser cannot keep getting away with this. The are taking our money and we have to put a stop to this ASAP!
