I purchased a Corgi from Burnt Kerosene corgi’s, now known as kensington corgi’s, a few Years back. I was burnt out of my money. I should have never purchased that dog. She sold me a genetic defect. He’s a sweet loving dog, and he fits perfectly into our lives. I would never consider getting rid of him. Never dream of it… But, his health can only be linked to poor breeding choices. She has since eliminated all pictures and evidence of the double Merle coat she was breeding and selling as ‘blue Merle’, and threatened multiple people with being sued about it. I did some research, and have made the conclusion that she knew exactly what she was selling me. I am still, to this day, very upset. I’m glad any other issues with this breeder have been resolved, but that doesn’t solve my case. I spent good money on this dog. Way too much money. Now I visit vets regularly to make sure my little guy is going to remain healthy, in fear that his bad breeding doesn’t effect his quality of life. He has so many health issues, it’s insane. He’s deaf, but only became that way after a few years with issues from birth, and his eyes are only getting worse. They were small as a puppy, but they never grew with him. They remained the same size, and you can see the muscles around his eyeballs every time he opens them. His pupils are horribly misshapen and almost non existent in one eye. He is slightly mentally handicapped, to go along with heart, liver and kidney problems at TWO YEARS OLD. I am going to do everything humanly possible to keep him happy, but I’m absolutely done keeping this to myself. I’m glad she stopped breeding the Merle color. I really am. I do not want anyone else to have to sign up for spending 1300 on a dog that only lives 3 years due to breeding. I don’t regret the dog. He is beautiful, happy, clever and very sweet. I don’t know what life would be like without him. I love him immensely. I regret ever finding this particular breeder. I regret it. I can’t say that enough.
