We bought several shoes from the owner of “Kidz Shooz” in Ardmore. Two weeks after we bought my son his shoes the buckle broke. We went back to the store asking him to either replace the shoes or fix them. The owner initially refused to help us and offered us 25% off if we wanted to buy another pair of shoes. He said he had a shoemaker who he would have fix them. We called him several times and it took 2 months for him to fix the shoes. When we picked them up the buckle that had broke was replaced with a key change ring. He also had the other shoe that was not broken, replaced with a key ring of a different size. He refused to do anything for us and said that he was nice enough to fix them in the first place. He claimed that we weren’t entitled to a refund because it was an ornament and not part of the body of the shoe. After we left with the shoes I called Stride rite and they said they were quick to apologize and say that this was not an ornamental problem but a defect in the shoe. They said we were entitled to a full refund. The store owner tried to take advantage of us, lied and committed fraud. .
