I had the worst experience with La Abeja Restaurant. I could imagine a licensed restaurant could offer such poor services. I regret having visited the restaurant.
My friends and I like trying out new cookeries and flavors when we tour a different city. On this fine weekend, we had planned a road trip to Los Angeles. We had our bag packs ready to hit the road. We had a lot of fun along the way. During our trip, we decided to check out top-rated restaurants in Los Angeles, where we would make a stop to grab a meal. There were so many amazing restaurants online, and finding the right one was a daunting task. Most restaurants had a good online presence, but we finally decided to make a stop at La Abeja Restaurant. This restaurant had good customer reviews, and so we decided to try it out.
Before going to the restaurant, we decided to make a reservation. The restaurant was easy to find, but it did not have a parking lot. We reached the place at around 3:00, and to our surprise, the place was deserted something unusual considering it was on a Saturday afternoon. After entering, we came across this man who was bossy and commanding all the workers. He would raise his voice to the chefs, waiters, and even the security guard. We assumed he was the boss. This was poor management, but that was not a major concern since we were there to grab a meal and leave.
The place had loud music, which made it hard for us to communicate. The DJ seemed to enjoy what he was doing despite the songs being in Greek. The menu did not have to offer much but only six meals, which kept repeating themselves. There had deserts, but I cannot comment on this because we left before finishing our main meals. We placed an order for five, which took too long to be processed. The quantity of each dish was moderate, but the food had an unusual taste. The taste was disappointing and unbearable, so we called the waiter to make a complaint. She was rude and not helpful because she kept saying there was nothing she could do. Out of disappointment, I called the manager who was neither helpful but kept shouting at the cooks and waiters for serving us poor food.
This was really odd, but there was nothing we could do. We tried to request the manager to reduce the prices on our order, but he said that was practically impossible. He went ahead to explain how we had wasted his time and resources in a rude manner. Out of anger, we decided to pay and leave La Abeja Restaurant never to return. The restaurant had a good online appearance, but they could not offer high quality services as they have indicated on their website. In addition to this, their prices were exaggerated.
