We\’ve been family season pass holders here for a long time and while in certain regards they\’re modernizing and refreshing there are some major issues. We went today for the first time this season and security was stricter and it took ages to enter although they know us so well. Disposing of the free beverages was a greedy business choice and with the already expensive tickets, the drink costs are too much to bear. A maximum number of rides are closed down or not accessible. The Revolution ride was in pieces and supposedly out for the season! The Pirate Ship and Log Flume were shut and Down Time had my son lining up for 30 minutes and after getting on kids were made to get off because the ride was out of order and needed to shut down for repairs. Safety is #1 priority yet they should close the ride down before you bring up children\’s expectations. After that, we planned to get ourselves a Berry Cheesecake Funnel cake just to be told they were out of the ingredients which take a month to purchase (awful arranging). I get it, entertainment parks aren\’t cheap, and many such as me are glad to pay a high ticket value w/administration charges to get into the recreation centre. But, when you\’re in the recreation centre, there\’s a lofty cost for parking, storage rentals and more. Likewise, it took me 30 minutes at Parkside diner to get 3 burgers and although it is supposed to be fast food and you usually don\’t have to wait to get it I still had to wait so long. Just 1 employee working at the counter and the chefs were super lazy and slow. The same counter person doing everything during lunchtime at 1 pm. They should hire more staff to make their service fast. Food is overly expensive – and be set up to sit tight for an extended period for the food delivery even when it\’s not busy. I complained visitor benefits centre about a circumstance where I was told by a recreation centre representative that the 2 beverages I purchased accompanied free refills. When I returned 20 minutes later for a refill, I was then told refills were 2$. I disclosed to the visitor benefits centre employee that the main reason I burned through 11$ on the two beverages was because of the free refills. Their response was pretentious and coldhearted. I was misled and cheated out of another 11$ at this sham foundation. No outside food or drink is permitted, just because they want to force you to eat a tasteless pizza for almost 6$, or some other overrated trash. The nature of the food truly is shocking considering this is the food that you are compelled to purchase if you need to eat during your day at the recreation centre. I am never coming back here and I will never miss a chance to make people aware of this awful place.
