Le Merigot Hotel, a place where you could go to just waste your money. Usually, when we go to hotels, we try to see if the amenities we get are enough or/and existing. It is a ghost hotel as all the amenities listed are not there. My friend Randy told me he went there with his wife for their fifth anniversary. Now he says we regret going there and could have just gone on a road trip or to another hotel. They went there thinking about the recommendations and price. But when they reached there, they were told that suites were booked for guests at the casino. They just decided to stay in a standard room. But the standard room was not even worth calling it 2 and-a-half stars. It doesn’t even have a proper refrigerator, microwave, and other amenities. It was filled with dust, dirt and a lot of moulds. The bathroom did not have a bath and the shower was surrounded by glass. And it is not bad to have glass around it but the problem was it was over-used. The drain was clogged and you had to stand in ankle-deep water an even after the facility fixed the drains, it was still clogging. The bathroom door was crooked and the layout of the room was very awkward and nothing lined up. And the view was of the roof of the hotel and the parking lot. Yes, that was the view they got when they paid $179. Another problem was it was like a tobacco hut, smelling like an ashtray. Not only the rooms but also the front desk was dirty. The price is also not convincing as it is very expensive. And the price is not even confirmed. I went there once. The price was told $129. But when I was leaving, the bill was $179 and when all the taxes and excesses were added, the bill was $400. The food was also not the best. Continental food was not up to the mark and there were not many tables to eat at. Buffet was $17-$18 and most of it was only frozen food found at supermarkets. And there was no swimming pool to play.
The staff was not very welcoming and was very rude. It was also very noisy as we had stayed up till 5:00 am, listening to them cleaning. And the staff didn’t even know what they were doing. My friend Jenny went there and told me the server did not serve them their appetizer. You think your safety matters. They don’t think. Jenny sat on the bed at the bottom. The number of outlets is also a problem. There was only one outlet at the desk which had the table lamp plugged on it. You had to unplug the lamp to use it and it is very hard at night as the lamp is not plugged. So overall, it is not worth its money and calling 4 stars. I don’t recommend coming here.
