I was looking for a recliner with a massager for some time now. I walked into the showroom in Union Nj on Rt 22 and I spoke one of their customer service reps (John) about my needs. He said he can get me the chair I wanted. I asked him to show it to me on the floor, so he showed me a chair but said he can special order it with a massager and heat. I sat in it and agreed to the order. They placed the order and quoted me it would cost about $900 for the chair. It took him about an hour to place the order and a lot of assistance by other people to place it correctly. I was informed It would take about 3 weeks to order. I put down $500 as a deposit and was to pay the balance when the chair got delivered. I got a call it was ready and picked it up in a box. When i got home and assembled it, i found it was not the same chair we agreed to and it was incredibly uncomfortable. I then called them to voice my concern. They said it was a custom order and we can’t take it back. I said that you sold me the wrong chair, and they said that doesn’t matter. It was a custom order and that was it. I asked to speak to the customer service rep that sold me the chair and no longer works their due to performance issues. So i had to dispute it with the bank because they refuse to do the right thing. .
