I am recently unemployed, so we’ve fallen behind on our loan pmt with Lendmark. I contacted them to see what options were available, and even discussed a voluntary reposession with them. The guy talked me out of doing the repo because he said that they’d lose out if we did that. He agreed to give me until the 30th to either make a half payment to keep our account in good standing, or to come in and sign a voluntary repo form. This morning (11/28) BRYCE from the North Charleston, SC location called my sister-in law, disclosed information about how much behind we are, when the payment is due, and was threatening to HER on the phone, while she is not even listed on the account, or even in the same household! I called him to remind him of the aggreement I’d made with them regarding the 30th, he kept interrupting me, would not let me explain and kept saying over and over again “well if you don’t pay for it, you can’t drive it.” Every time I tried to talk he’d say it again. I asked “can you let me talk?” And he said “not until you’ve paid.” So, I hung up, called back and talked to Jeff (a little nicer at least), and reminded HIM of the agreement that he and I had made personally about the 30th. So, this is the kind of treatment you get from people with Lendmark. Up until two months ago, every payment for the past two years has been on time. We’ve had an excellent track record with them and this is how they treat people when they’re in a bad situation? They are bullies. They are harassing. And most importantly they are breaking the law by disclosing confidential information to people who are not allowed that information.
