When my office moved, I chose to search for a dental specialist in the area of my new office. Based on all of those brilliant audits on the internet, I decided to go to Lewis C Cummings, DDS, MS. I took my appointment and tried Dr Cummings. Everybody in his clinic was unprofessional – extremely uninviting and non-agreeable. I am not a fanatic of heading off to the dental specialist; however, Dr Cummings and his staff turned out to be worse. The place itself is not- appealing, and all phases of treatment and cost are not clarified in advance. Dr. additionally offers his very own dental protection bundle for routine tests, cleanings and different methodologies at an expensive rate. My first visit took 1.5 hours as the hygienist burrowed the periodontal check down through my gums. I persistently endured the excruciating experience. At the end of this ordeal, the hygienist informed me that I had an early stage periodontal illness and that I would require profound cleaning and a replacement of a crown. I was stunned since no dental specialist I have ever had has referenced this. The hygienist spoke condescendingly to me proposing this could be preventable If I flossed (which coincidentally, I do.) I had an inconceivably passionate response to the circumstance and everyone was extremely unkind to me while I had a minor freak out. I was determined to get a second opinion immediately. I consulted my old dental specialist and a few companions that were in dental school. They instructed me to go to another dental specialist just to affirm the finding. It might be conceivable; however, it was improbable given my age and recurrence to the dental specialist. I went to another dental specialist and they said my gums were healthy and well and there was no compelling reason to do any profound cleaning. I perceive that there are various ways of thinking in dentistry. I favour dental specialists that are more \”wait and see\” how things grow as opposed to more \”conservative\” dental specialists that are progressively proactive. I do not trust Dr Cummings, he is in the more proactive camp and wanted to stem issues before they begin, the vast majority of the exploration I\’ve done demonstrates no net advantage for this methodology. I have a lot to state against the individuals there and I probably won’t return to this place ever. The worst thing is that they don’t use the most recent innovation and do not bother to clarify unmistakably how the procedure will be done. Another drawback, it was expensive even with the insurance I had. This dental specialist is more costly than other dental specialists altogether. I was more than sure that some kind of bonus is related to this \”profound cleaning\” fiasco!!! I was additionally told I \”floss wrong ‘’as do numerous individuals that go there.\” I floss DAILY! Be careful with the outline they show you for your unhealthy teeth!
