My role as a therapist is to act a guide and facilitator in a dynamic process that helps you get closer to the things you want out of life. As a therapist I offer support and encouragement to explore the issues that are holding you back. Utilizing and building on your own strengths, we will approach your unique situation in a safe, collaborative process to help you overcome challenges and experience a greater sense of satisfaction and fulfillment.My specialties include PTSD which can present as problems with mood, affect, sexual intimacy, relationships, mental health and more. I also treat depression, anxiety, parenting, alternative relationships, life stage and fertility issues. I recognize and address the impact of race, culture, gender, sexual orientation and other similar issues in my approach.I have an interactive style. I use psycho-dynamic, behavioral, cognitive, somatic, humanistic approaches. I offer online video/remote sessions for clients in CA ( Oakland and other areas) and in New York, except Beacon and Medicare clients. I currently have openings for remote/vidoe sessions.
