I recently had a terrible experience with one of the dental clinics and I want to share the experience with you so it doesn’t happen with you. Louis Napolitano, DMD claims to have one of the best doctors in town and have top-notch customer service but since my visit over there they have been unable to satisfy me with their claims as their customer service sucks and the doctors are untrained. I went to Louis Napolitano, DMD to get a filling in one of my teeth. After 6 months the filling fell out that they put in my mouth. At the time of filling I was being told by the doctors at Louis Napolitano, DMD that if I had any problem I can come back again. I did not have any health insurance plan to help me to get treated so I paid for the expenses out of my pocket. I recently acquired one of the insurance plans but they don’t have Louis Napolitano, DMD in their network but still, I decided to go back there because the initial filling was done by them and wanted them to repair it. I called Louis Napolitano, DMD to booked an appointment with them and told them that the filling had fallen out, the dental hygienist told me to come over to get a checkup and told them that my current insurance plan does not offer their services so I guess it’s their responsibility to let me know the charges first of any service they are going to provide. On the day of the appointment, the doctor did my x-ray and proceeded to examine my tooth. The doctor told me that the problem is not with the tooth which was treated earlier, but this time the tooth behind it was the reason why filling fell out. As a result, he told me that I will have to pay for the new filling since it was a different tooth. I clearly said no because the dentist consigned by my insurance plan can easily do this work and I won’t have to pay any extra money on it. I decided to do my new filling with the dentist my insurance plan offered me and decided to leave. Upon leaving I was being told that I will have to pay $100 for the x-ray and exam which the doctor did. This upset me as I had already told them not to pay anything and it’s their responsibility to let me know any fees they are going to charge. I thought they are going to inform me of the fee for the services which they provided. The staff already knew that I don’t have any health insurance plan with Louis Napolitano, DMD and still charged me without even letting me know. The lady at the billing knew and I could tell by her face that what she was doing was wrong and still charged me. I was disappointed with the way I was treated there and don’t wish to visit this facility again nor will going to recommend it.
