As of the end of August 2015, I started receiving 2 magazines that I did not subscribe to. I found out thru one of the magazine”s customer service department, that I had been subscribed, in my name, by M2Media Group! I was given this number to call them so they would cancel these two unwanted subscriptions! The number is: [protected]. When I called the number a recording sent me to this website to cancel the subs. : cancelmag.com. WTF??? This reminds me of when the telephone companies “slammed” you and switched you, unknowingly, to their service! It”s completely ILLEGAL! Please stop these scam artists from doing this!

Complete scam artists and identity thieves. Randomly received men”s health in the mail with my name. Called the magazine, they claim that m2 media authorized them to send me a 1 year supscription based on an order placed through them and to contact them directly. Been leaving messages and emailing them for 10 days straight and no response whatsoever.

For approximately six months I”ve been receiving unsolicited magazines – InStyle, Rolling Stone, People, Real Simple, etc. etc. etc., from a company called M2 Media Group. I”ve sent several requests via e-mail to the company requesting that they cancel my account and stop sending me magazines, but it continues. M2 Media Group 5 High Ridge Park Stamford, CT 06840

Hi, just the latest… Got 2 unwanted allure mag subscriptions which promptly rang alarm bells for me… I checked my credit reports & bank statements and to my relief no unauthorized charges have been made (But I will be a bit paranoid from now on). I called allure who referred me to m2m media group – which I researched on first courtesy of this website. Now, the [protected] number works, but when I called in today, I had to try several times because it was going into voicemail and I did *not* want to leave any info in there… (Hmm, looks like they wised up, eh?) after awhile, a lady answered (I was very nice of course… Had to get this darn thing cancelled, right?) and she referred me to another department where a gentleman promptly cancelled my subscription to allure after telling me it was a ‘free gift’ for buying from fragrance.net (No more business from me from now on!!!). Lesson learned! Be careful of online purchases guys… Always read the fine print, even if you have to use a magnifying glass. Good luck to us all…

I am 70 years old and recently received a Red Book Magazine with my correct name and address. I did not order this magazine. I called the New York office of Red Book and was told that they could not cancel the subscription and that I needed to call the M2 Media Group at [protected]. I called this number and was told through an auto message to go to the website and email a message to cancel the magazine. What can be done to stop this kind of thing??

I am receiving People magazines that I did not order. When I called People to find out why, I was given M2 Media Group’s name and phone number. The number is not in service and I am pissed. Now I have to find out who I need to contact to cancel this subscription. They won’t get a dime out of me and neither will People magazine. I am tired of these scams where companies think they have the right to spend other peoples’ money without their written permission!

I have an unwanted rolling stone subscription. I went to rolling stone to cancel and they said it was through M2 media group. Please cancel this subscription immediately. I have been receiving them for the past few months and I don’t know why. I want to make sure they do not have any of my credit card information so I don’t get more charges for something I don’t want. I just got an unsolicited magazine in the mail, and when I called the company to cancel, they said they were unable to cancel my subcription because M2 Media Group, who I have never done business with ordered it. I need to cancel this trash! I called the number the magazine gave me for M2, and could not get a person on the phone. I went to their web site, and submitted a request to cancel, but would really like some type of confirmation of the cancellation. Why do they do this????? This is definite harrassment.

I never have read, nor will read Golf magazine. They began to send it to me randomly. I called Golf magazine, and they directed me to M2 Media Group, at [protected], which was an invalid number. I had to call back, and a new person gave me a corrected number as: 1281. Once you do reach them, there is no way to speak to a representative. I ordered 2-year Businessweek subscription January 13, 2009 of this year through these guys and after noting that I was not receiving my subscription, I then contacted [protected]@yahoo.com only to be called “###ed” and a “liar”. I then contacted Businessweek who told me that they had just received the order yesterday, March 3, 2009 and it was only for one year. Have emailed M2 Media group who are the people who placed the order but am not expecting much. Warning to all on these magazine resellers. ________________________________ Please note that in follow-up to this complaint that M2 Media is an innocent party on this as I mistakenly assumed them as the agency who commissioned Mags Superstore. Please also note that Mags Superstore has taken down their website on ioffer.com and appears to no longer be listing themselves – but be aware! The absolute temerity and rudeness that I was assaulted with was astounding – I honestly wasn”t sure if this person was delusional or just plain arrogant.

I received a copy of TIME Magazine at my home, and the issue date of the magazine is October 3. I never ordered any subscription for TIME Magazine, and haven”t subscribed to that magazine in Year. I called customer service at TIME magazine, and told them I never ordered it. An operator at TIME whose operator name was Steve, operator name RKH, told me it was order for me by an M2 Media Group …he said they were located in Tampa, FL. I told him to cancel it immediately, as I never ordered it. He told me he could suspend the account, but I had to contact them to cancel. I called a number he provided, [protected], and received a voice mail identifying themselves as a Blue Dolphin magazine group. I left a strongly worded message for them, telling them they had NO authorization to order magazines for me to stop the crap they are doing (I am embarrassed that this situation made me angry and I used a couple of choice 4-letter words on my voicemail to them). I left my cell phone for them to reach me, as they are apparently using my cell phone and address to order the magazine.

I received an “in style” magazine in the mail yesterday that I did not order. I called customer service at in style magazine and they referred me to m2 media group. I called [protected] thinking I would get a “live” person, but to my shock, all I got is recordings. No matter how many buttons and numbers I pushed, it was all recorded. I don’t know what kind of scam “in style magazine” and “m2 media group” is running, but someone needs to get to the bottom of this!!!

I received health magazine which I did not order. I have tried to contact m2media group with no response. I did order scientific american through magazine.com. I called them about this health magazine and they said I should contact m2media group. I have been able to talk to anyone media2 nor have they responded to the message I left. I don’t think they would start sending magazines to people without a way to get payment. I am afraid my credit card information has been comprised. I plan to contact my state agency regarding this fraud. Dolores scott

I started getting People magazine for some reason. I went to the People website and it says that my subscription was purchased through M2 Media Group, who I have never heard of. I don”t want this magazine and I don”t understand how the have managed to obtain my information. They have my name and address and now I am just hoping that they haven”t gotten any of my credit card information or social security number.

I started receiving People magazine 2 weeks ago. I have not knowingly subscribed to this magazine. It is not a magazine that I would subscribe to. The # that I was given to contact M2 Media Group gives you a phone tree. When I tried to unsubscribe, M2 Media Group says that I was given a free subscription through a purchase from a company and that neither I nor my credit card will be charged. It went on to give me website address that I could cancel my subscription. Sounds fishy to me and makes me rather nervous about my personal information on the site that I DID buy something.

I started to receive Rolling Stone magazine even though I did not order it. When I called Rolling Stone they said this M2 Media Group ordered the magazine in my name. I have not identified how they received my address and certainly did not get my consent to subscribe me a magazine for 2 years. I have not been able to reach anyone who can answer my questions.
