Maricopa County Sheriff's Office

I have a family member that is in the Maricopa County Sheriffs office jail system run by sheriff Joe Arpiao. He was sentenced to “tent city” on work fourlough. He spent the first 2 weeks of his sentence in regular jail because he did not fill out the right forms (told by his lawyer to fill out) from his doctor describing his high blood pressure and mediciene. The jail DID NOT give him his medicience but only monitored him daily to see how he would do going to the tents. In the mean time he was unreachable and his customers thought he had abandoned them. He was finally released to the tents, which are very cruel in my opinion. Extreme cold and heat! During his sentence he had a mishap and was returned to jail until he could get a court date. It has now been 3 days and a request has been given by him to see a doctor and get his blood pressure mediciene along with with a bad infected tooth that is bleeding and hurting. He did a did a tank order 3 days ago for me to come and pick up his belonging including a vehicle still in their parking lot. I went to the jail he was last at and they told me where he was sent and his belongings. Ok, I’ll go there. When I got there I was told that there would be a shift change and I would have to come back in an hour. Ok. Back in an hour, new person. “I’m here to get released property”. Gave him the name a booking number and he looked it up on the computer, which I would imagine they would have all his info plus a mug shot. “Yes, he’s here, let me get his tank order, I don’t have it he needs to fill one out.” Yes I know this because he call me 3 days ago to tell me he filled one out and to come and get his stuff. “It looks like property has already been released to “anomymous”. Yes, I said that name is me. I am here to get his stuff, I’m that person. He said it was already released to me. No, I said I am that person and I am here to get his property. (So how do you NOT have a tank order, but a computer that says it was released) Then he asked me if I was his mother, that man is my same age! Then he said he was in the tents. How can he not see on the computer that he was transfered to the jail 3 days ago after he said he was here! Then I asked if there was a number I could call to see when his property would be released. “No, you will just have to come back”. I told him that there was a truck in MY name parked over in the parking lot of tent city that I needed to get. It’s in my name and my truck. “Sorry, can’t help you about that”. I’m not a criminal, I have rights. If he didnt get out for a long time I am just out of luck and my truck has to sit there because they won’t release the keys to me, the owner! A couple of girls were in line before me to talk with this same employee. He told them that for property release, they had to go back to another jail. They told him that it was that jail that sent them here to get property released. He informed them that that office didnt know what they were doing and to go back. How do you run a jail like this?!? I pay taxes for this? The inmates pay money every week to get out on work release for this or incarerated pay dearly later for all this?????
