19 years working in Manhattan, NY now in FL, I have worked with a wide variety of human struggles including anxiety, bereavement, depression, recovery, relationship and life transitions. Trauma specialist, after the 9/11 terrorist attack, I specialize in treating survivors and/or witnesses of physical, sexual and religious abuse. Described as warm and welcoming, empathic and understanding, I partner with my clients to help them to understand themselves and in identifying obstacles that prevent them from leading more satisfying lives. My primary approach is Psychodynamic, utilizing a Cognitive Behavioral methodology when appropriate. Advanced Education: 5 years post-graduate training in Adult Psychotherapy, Couples Counseling, Bereavement and Trauma treatment. Its difficult and takes courage & hope to open up to a complete stranger but with the right professional, the rewards are great.Having previous careers as a CAREER COUNSELOR and as an HR Manager for Fortune 100 companies, I possess a broad understanding of the world of work and am able to help my clients with work-related and career issues. As a Career Counselor, I have helped many people in career transition with their job search and in identifying their vocational paths.
