I boughta Maytag Centennial Energy Star Top Loader Washing machine model MVWC450XW2 Within 6 months it quit agititing and service man said transmission was shot and it would cost more to repair it than replace it. So I got a new one delivered and now less than 2 years later this one is now doing the same thing except I smelled smoke and unpluged it. When the bottom cover was taken off it appeares burnt on bottom pad and parts . Scary Fire Hazard It will not drain or spin properly and Maytag is of no help to me at all. I’m upset and in a pickle as to how to wash my clothes now with no washer. The online reviews of this washer many of the models are to many to read. I’m need to know how I can persue this cause it is not right to sale a LEMON and this Maytag washer has been a nightmare for me and many others Nationwide. How can a company get away with doing this? This washer sounded like a jet engine takeing off and has dented itself from the violent spin cycle. Please someone tell me where to go from here. .
