Long Beach Mercedes Service Department , my 2009 C-350 was towed in due to a melfunction the service advisor conatcted me several days on 2-23-2015 later that it needed a electronic steering lock replacement at a cost of 1,283.00. On 2-26- after the repair he called me to say that a ESP Module needed to be replace , i asked him for a quote he said it was an additional 1,336.00 while i was considering the repairs I contacted my regular servisor adviisor at another Mercedes Dealership she advised me that while the Electronic Sterring Lock malfunction may have caused the ESP to error code out that it should reset if nothing was actually wrong. I made the decision to have my wife pick up her car while she drove it home, ESP error did reset, with no futer problems as of today 4-1-2015 no ESP errors , BTW I did have the car checked out right after we picked it up from Long Beach Mercedes it was confirmed that ESP was nothing wrong. Therefore my question is how many people believe everything as i almost did at a 1,336,00 mis diagnosis from this dealership , one other point as i wanted an answer the only thing the advisor could say was he is instructed to “SELL” the repair … I was also advised on 3-12 that a foreman would call me as of today 4-01 nothing no reply no letter no text nothing. This is highly suspicious, Mecedes USA sent me an inquiry over 2 weeks ago still have not heard from them. I am sure or at least i exspect a call back one would think. Not sure how anyone else sees this .
