On 8 Feburary 2015, ordered an EOTech EXPS3 halographic sight. Shipping instructions clearly stated that the item could NOT be shipped via USPS (lithium batteries) or by air, so I provided my street address. I do not get mail at my street address…only UPS and FEDEX deliveries. 6 days later, unbeknownst to me, UPS turned the item over to USPS for final delivery. Since I thought it would be a UPS ground delivery….could NOT be shipped via USPS, I was totally taken off-guard and the post office marked the package as “undeliverable as addressed (UPS Surepost tracking number 1Z677247YW60448878 and USPS tracking number 92612904851556551136029243 apply). I had ordered the item for delivery prior to a match on the following weekend. I immediately got hold of Midway USA customer service and they all but blew me off, telling me once the item was returned they would re-deliver. I told them that I no longer wanted or needed the item, since I had missed my match and requested a refund or credit be issued to my credit card. I provided them proof that the item had, in fact, been returned to no avail. Midway now has had my money for over three weeks ($629) and I have nothing. Their customer service sucks….no other way to put it. I have spoken with my issuing bank and they have told me that they will open an investigation into the matter. Two certified letters to Potterfield have gotten me absolutely nothing. My next step is to turn this over to the Maryland Attorney General’s office. To those of you who have success with Midway, I wish you well. Just be advised that when the first thing goes sideways, do not count on anyone at Midway to be helpful in any way, shape or fashion. And, question their shipping instructions BEFORE you buy and not after. .
