I have been to this store numerous times over the years and have been a long-time customer and supporter. However; today when I was in the store with my SERVICE dog I had an absolutely horrible experience.

My dog was recently attacked and is currently having issues with nose-to-nose dog encounters. While this is unfortunate; it should absolutely not be an issue in his service dog usage because we don’t go anywhere where there are free-range dogs. And when we are in a location such as a store, like Mr. S, service dogs have the right of way, and dogs that are not service animals should not be allowed in the store. Or have to have a proper place to e contained when a service animal enters the store. When I was there just recently; (as in 20 min ago) they had a Pitbull running around the store OFF LEASH. This would be absolutely fine if, when I announced that I had a certified service dog, they had put the off-leash dog in the office, or even simply leashed the dog!!  My SERVICE DOG would have absolutely no issues if the dog had not kept approaching us, when I tried to tell people that my dog was going to attack the other dog or that there would be a fight, they brushed me off, then they refused to move in their normal dog, and then when the dog came over in a fight started to occur, (growling and snapping) they yelled at ME. And my SERVICE DOG; Who is legally allowed and required to be there by the Americans with Disabilities Act.

There are caveats about service dog behavior; however even if the Pitbull had also been a service dog, they are required to be able to simply leave things alone and not respond or walk over. There would’ve absolutely been NO issue if they hadn’t REPEATEDLY allowed their Pitbull to come NOSE TO NOSE with my service dog.
