This report is regarding an online art creation company MYDAVINCI.COM also referred to as ART CREATION SERVICES. I attempted to purchase a personalized painting for my wife as a Christmas gift. The order was placed online Monday, December 15th, 2003. I was instructed at the time of purchase that I would receive a proof of the artists work within 3-4 days. On December 18th, after 4 days without receiving proof, I began to get concerned that the painting would not arrive before Christmas and attempted to contact the company via their 888 number. I was greeted by a voice prompt that instructed me to leave a message as all customer service representatives were busy. I left a voicemail at 11:00am with both my office and home numbers and expected a returned call by the end of the business day. I received no such call and placed a second call at 6:30 that evening, only to leave another message. I attempted to contact Art Creation Services the following morning and left a third message at 8:45am and a fourth at 11:00am. I received a response from a customer service representative at 4:00pm Friday December 19th. The representative guaranteed my that the proof would arrive via email the following day Saturday, December 20th and that the artwork would arrive by Christmas day. The proof did not arrive on Saturday or Sunday and I began to attempt to get in contact with the company, which resulted in leaving repeated messages with no response. I also sent four emails that were not responded to as well. The proof arrived via email Monday, December 22nd. Concerned that I would not receive the painting before Christmas and frustrated with the complete lack of customer service I attempted to cancel the order. I left several messages and sent numerous emails in which I instructed Art Creation Services to cancel my order. I made repeated calls Monday, December 22nd until I actually got in contact with a representative. I asked to speak with a manager and she put my in contact with Dong Ouyang the President/CEO of Art Creation Services. I told him how disappointed I was with their customer service and outright dishonestly of their personnel and that I wanted the order to be canceled. He assured me that the order was to be canceled and no charge would be put through. On December 23rd my account was charged by Art Creation Services. I have made attempts to get in contact with Mr. Ouyang by phone, fax, and email since the charge was made and received no response. BEWARE of mydavinci.com and Art Creation Services.
