1. Nov 18th I make a purchase on Costco.com using my gift card. But I decide to cancel it the same day. 2. Funds have already been taken out of my gift card. 3. I call a week later to check why the funds haven’t been returned. Customer service it takes 8 days and the transaction was shown as pending. 4. I call on the Dec 5th with both Costco and Prepaid Center on the call. Costco confirmed that it made the reversal and Prepaid Center acknowledged the reversal and said the funds will be back on the 8th. 5. I call again on the Dec 11th since the funds aren’t back yet in my account. I am told by the supervisor Rafael that the amount will be back on the Dec 13th since it takes 8 days to get the money back. 6. I call once more on the Dec 15th since the funds aren’t back yet. I am told by another supervisor that all the information given earlier were incorrect and the funds would be back on the 5th of January. An item that I did not even receive has funds taken out for a month. And the customer service keep on lying about when the funds will be back blaming it on the merchant.

Activated a rebate visa card in September 2017 with 70.00 on it from Continental Tires. Never used it and went to use it yesterday only to be advised it had expired in August 2018 which is against the CARD Act law and against the terms of the card agreement I received. Cannot reach anyone in the company on their phone lines and only offers an address to mail to for “customer service”. This is frustrating and I want the card reissued with the money on the card for my use as was intended by the manufacturer, Continental, who issued this rebate. If we cannot get resolution here I intend to contact the manufacturer directly to request a new card be issued.

After activating my card, it keeps getting declined when I try to use it and their customer service is literally a sales pitch. If you don’t want to pay shipping on their “free” gift card, and you just want to get some help from a customer service, they hang up on you and tell you the number you called isn’t available. Its the customer service number listed both on their website and the back of the card for service! How are you supposed to get any help with your card? Hand over your information to a company you don’t trust in order to pay for shipping on another gift card you don’t want? Will they transfer you to an actual customer service agent after that? Almost two years ago my wife received a Visa MyPrepaidCenter gift card for $180 as a bonus from her company. The expiration date on the card was a few months later, but the card has “Funds Do Not Expire” printed in big bold letters on the card, so we were not worried. Their website myprepaidcenter.com/site/visa-scrip/standard/faqs#A7 clearly says: “Does the card expire? Yes, the card will expire after midnight EST on the last day of the month of the valid thru date printed on the front of the card. However, the funds do not expire. You may request the remaining funds after the card expires by calling Customer Service. Fees and restrictions may apply.” We called the customer support number [protected]) as instructed. They said they would send us a new card. They never did. We called again a few months later. They said they would send a new card. This time I verified the address they were sending the new card to. The address was correct. We waited several months. The replacement card never came. I called a third time. We still have not receive a replacement card. Card was a prize my daughter won at a school event. Tried to use it at Wal-mart but didn’t work (this was before the expiration date). Card clearly says the funds don’t expire so didn’t think too much about trying to use after expiration date. Unable to use and now the funds are expiring because a service fee of $3.95 is deducted periodically. When I finally got around to finding the paperwork that came with the card and called them they were unable/unwilling to help. A replacement card would incur a $15 fee but because they take out $3.95 periodically there is not even $15 on the card. I asked why it could not be escalated at this time as 14 days to hold a person’s electronic funds seems longer than normal already. Request to escalate was denied as the internal process is to wait until 30 days before it can be escalated. Hello, I activitated a virtual gift card this morning (02/15/20) issued through Sprint’s Clean Slate program in the amount of $563. After I received the virtual card, I attempted to use this to pay a bill with TMobile, who told me the card didn’t work. I had them try again and again it was declined. They advised that I should take it to a store have them try there, which I did. Again, no luck. So i added it to my Apple Wallet to see if that would work. They tried again and it declined. I came back home to see what the problem is and when trying to enter it on your website, it kept giving me an error. Hello, I have used prepaid Visa cards through my work benefits for a while with success. My recent card had a refund from a returned transaction after 3 months. When I logged into myprepaidcenter the card no longer shows up on my cards list. It does not expire until 11/20 and had a balance of ~6 dollars and should have another ~120 dollars due to the refund from the merchant (ETSY). I”m not sure why the card has disappeared from the list as it was visible only a few days ago. I already activated the card and used it once. I was ready to use it again, but wanted to check the balance. I logged in with my username and password and received an error that my card could not be found. I looked at the card and realized it was 3 months past the expiration date. I read the FAQ on expired cards. Per the FAQ, if I have an expired card, the funds are still available and I can simply call the number on the FAQ. I called and followed the automated prompts to input all of the card info. Automated system couldn’t find the card and prompted me to try again, which I did. Same result. No option to transfer to a customer service rep. Just an endless loop of automated prompts. I located 2 more numbers and all provided the same result: automated prompts, failure to find card, no option to transfer out of the loop.

I am an owner of our business & we receive prepaid visa cards from ASCO when we purchase parts from them. I have at least 4 that I called about to check the balance & they all say account has been suspended so I stayed on the line to talk to someone who could barely speak English & was told that all the cards were suspended & he said he could not share anymore info with me unless I could tell him the last purchase made on the cards. I explained that I could not remember the last purchase on any of them because it was 2016 when I thought I last used them. I explained that he should verify my identity by either Name of business, SS#, phone #, Fed Id #. Something besides the last purchase. He refused to tell me the balance on any of the cards that I was actually holding in my hand. I told him that I was going to contact the Attorney General because that sounds like a scam to keep people’s money. I had to spend money to receive those cards. I am so annoyed by this company. I thought they would need to adhere to the minimum 5 year expiration requirement but they don’t! Instead there is barely enough time to use it and there are no exceptions (I lost the card and thankfully found it, but a month and a half after the expiration). I am unable to register my cards on-line. Registration denied . Can’t activate. Refers me to the phone number. The phone number consistently disconnects at the final step. I have a $25 Discover gift card and used it at a restaurant, the server stated that there was on $20.83 left on my never used $25 gift card. I called the Discover number and was told by the Discover CSR that Discover holds back 20% to 50% on cards used at server business (like a restaurant) in case there is a discrepancy with the gratuity. The CSR also told me that if there is no discrepancy, that the $4.17 withheld will be refunded 7 days after the card was used. WHAT DOES DISCOVER HAVE TO DO WITH THE TIP I LEAVE FOR MY SERVER!!! Rebate Cards are nothing but SCAMS!!! The next time I go to buy appliances, skip the offer with a rebate incentive.

I ordered Three (3) $500 Visa Persona Gift Cards on Nov 1, 2016 from a rewards website. The cards are procured from and administered by myprepaidcenter.com. A month has gone by and the cards still have not arrived. The company (Meta Bank) apparently only sends their cards out via regular US mail, and does not provide any tracking options for customers. After calling the awards site several times, they told me they were emailing myprepaidcenter.com to confirm that new cards would be sent out to me, but that again, these new cards would be sent regular mail. I wanted to have these cards accessible for the holidays, and fell that it’s very unprofessional that myprepaidcenter.com won’t spend a few extra dollars to send me the cards with a 2 -Day delivery service or Priority Mail, after having to wait a month and counting for them to arrive. I will now have to wait potentially another month, meaning I will not be able to use these cards for the holidays as intended. For anyone looking for prepaid gift cards, I would definitely not recommend using myprepaidcenter.com or any product administered by Meta Bank.

I purchased a Stoeger shotgun that had a $75 rebate. I applied online and several weeks later, received a Mastercard. I didn’t activate it and placed the envelope on my desk where it got lost under a pile of folders. Much to my surprise, it has an expiration date and it is now expired. I tried calling the toll free MC number [protected] on the back and there is no option to speak to a representative. I also tried to find an email address under Contact Us on the MyPrepaid.com website. Its hard to deal with a company that only offers automated options! I just want my $75.

I purchased four new tires and received two reward Visa Debit Cards. One I used the other I was waiting to use. Tried to use it last night, May 5, 2018, to find out it had expired. Very disappointed that there was a time frame in which I needed to use it and extremely frustrated that I was unable to speak to a person. The tires were not inexpensive and the rebate was the incentive to purchase. I would appreciate it if a new card could be issued.

I received a $100 prepaid MasterCard. When I tried to activate it at my prepaid center.com I received a message that I need to call customer service. I called the number on the back of my card and once I entered the information my call was disconnected. I then called a number found online and it said I have no balance remaining and said to write to customer service in Kentucky. I simply want to activate this card. This service is unacceptable and not user friendly.

I received a $100 rewards card in April or May that had an expiration date of July 2019. I didn’t realize it had such a short time before it expired. I called the company that I received the card from and they instructed me to contact myPrepaidCenter.com to have the card reissued as I never activated the card. I have tried calling the number listed on the back of the card yesterday and there was an error message saying the systems are under maintenance and to call back later. I tried calling back this morning and there was about 1 min of silence then a message about the number not being set up or activated (or something like that). I just tried calling back and there is an error message saying the systems are under maintenance and to try back later. I am trying to have the card reissued and be able to use the $100 to buy my family Christmas gifts this year. I have sent the parent company a message but no one has responded yet. Please help me get my $100 gift card reissued.

Like Giving a Dead Puppy
Using this company as a reward is like telling your kids that you are getting them a puppy then giving them a dead one. IT IS NOT A REWARD. IT IS A PUNISHMENT. First received $500 but did not notice an expiry date. Paid $30 to replace. Couldn’t use, but fraudulent transactions went through. Called right away. Shut down card. Told charges would be reversed. Sent me replacement 6 weeks later for $323. So I have gone from $500 to $470 to $323. I have not been able to use at all but fraudsters can. DO NOT GIVE YOUR CUSTOMERS OR EMPLOYEES THIS CARD AS A REWARD. IT IS NOTHING BUT TROUBLE AND IT WILL REFLECT BADLY ON YOU. Phone lines frequently disconnect or don’t work. Not a good sign for a financial company. Very surprised that VISA has them as a reseller.
These people operate out of a third world country with a Texas address. LOL. No one from Texas ever on the phone. Received a AARP gift card for $50.00 tried to use it and it was rejected by the reader. Got home checked the card online and it had been used by someone. All $50.00 was gone. Tried to contact someone and boy oh boy got folks from around the world with no one being able to assist. Finally found a form to complete regarding the unauthorized use and e mailed as well as FAXED. No response. Next step the Better Business Bureau as well as a letter to AARP advising them strongly not to purchase VISA pre paid cards from these people. Its fraud at the highest.
