For me, Mercedes means tradition, comfort, class; I don’t know if this is the same for everyone else, but it certainly isn’t for the people at Autowerks. My wife and I both purchased our Mercedes in LA a few years ago, and we wanted to buy a Mercedes for our daughter as well, so we got to Autowerks following online recommendations, which stated that they were the best in the area. I don’t think people should leave comments online after just one visit, and say they are the best in town, because that is not even near the truth; these people don’t care about their customers, they don’t care if you’re a loyal Mercedes customer, I don’t even think that they know what they’re doing.
You see, when I took my daughter to see some cars, a guy approached us and said the shop was closed because of an event. There were no signs, no other people, no decorations, but still, he kicked us out.
Next time I decided to take her was on a Friday, we were just going to take a look and then have dinner, I wanted her to think about her car needs before getting her one. Jerry was the salesperson who greeted us, he showed us the first 3 cars, and he was very kind. Then I say that we will look at all of the SUVs they have since my daughter hasn’t still decided on the one she wants. This man suddenly changes his attitude, starts making rude comments, and looks at us as if he was smelling rotten eggs. It was pretty obvious what he was thinking, I could practically hear him say that we were making him waste his time; of course, he’s the kind of person that doesn’t make a customer want to go back after the sale.
I wasn’t going to waste my time with him, so we requested an appointment for the next day, specifically asking for someone else to tend us.
We went there, my daughter picked a car and started the paperwork. I had to wait for a few hours, so I thought that I’d look at the other cars to kill some time, then Jerry shows up again, this time he ignores me and keeps walking, he didn’t even acknowledge me. Whatever I just decided to ignore it as well; then this other man walks toward me, I was ready to tell him I was just looking, but Jerry stops him, whispers something to his ear while holding my eyes. For a moment, it felt like a movie, the man looks at me from head to toe, looks back at Jerry, and walks away.
I’ve been there in other 3 occasions, and no one has ever greeted me or acknowledged my presence until I request for someone to help me, this has never happened to me before, and I’ve been dealing with M-B for 15 years now. I can only say that the service in this place is beyond unacceptable.
