This company called and said they were a mortgage broker and had a client that wanted to purchase our timeshare that we had listed on Timeshare Hot List. We told them what we were asking for it and they told us their client had offered much more for the timehsare. We were happy about this and said we would be willing to sell it. They told us there were not fees to us. They emailed us a contract. After reading it, we noticed a few errors and emailed back and forth till they finally sent us a new contract to sign. They then called us and requested a processing fee which they said would be refunded to us once the title checks were done. We told them we didn’t think we should be sending any money and we had to rethink the situation. We became suspiscious and when we Googled their address it showed up as a vacant parking lot. When they emailed us again to ask if we still wanted to sell, we emailed them back and asked why their address showed up as a vacant parking lot. After a week or so they emailed us back and insisted that they were a legitimate business and again requested the “processing fee”. I told them we were not about to send them any money and that they should be able to get the processing fee from the deposit their client gave them for the purchase. We didn’t hear from them for another week or so and then they just asked if we were still going to sell the unit to their client. I told them we would only if we did not have to send them any money. I have not heard from them since and when I tried to contact them by phone or email, neither was in service. I am beginning to wonder if this company isn’t partnered with Timeshare Hot List with whom we had our timeshare listed and got scammed for the fee we sent them which they promised to refund if they didn’t sell or rent our unit wihtin a year.
