Posted by: Anonymously, 421 Seventh Avenue, Midtown: Shakedown Scam Alert a/k/a;;;;;;; unlicensed scams run by Modesto Esterlin Martinez *** to file a complaint, contact New York State, Department of State @ 212-417-5790 or the NYS Attorney General Consumer Protection and Frauds @ 212-416-8000. Martinez operates as an unlicensed apartment sharing agent (no license, lost it in 2005), takes advance fees from room seekers. Stay away from 421 Seventh Avenue, Suite 1005, in Midtown, Manhattan. While I was at his sleazy office, COPS came by because they were investigating a scamming complaint from earlier that same day! Turns out this Martinez bird takes a fee, then just sends the victim to another SCAMMER agency known as American Plaza @ Broadway & 160th Street. That SCAMMER wants an ADVANCE FEE too! Don’t fall for it. If you were scammed by this CON ARTIST, do this: Go back to 421 Seventh Avenue, 10th floor, stay in the hallway by elevator, call 911, tell operator you want COPS at that location so you can file a Scheme To Defraud report. While COPS are there, they will get you your money back. Google these keywords: Better Business Bureau, then file a complaint online. Reviews: Google these keywords,, 421 Seventh Avenue American Plaza Reviews: Google these keywords, American Plaza, 3834 Broadway Found This Review On The Web, Read it & Run For Your Life: My name is Leaf Porter, testing coordinator of the Fair Housing Council of New Jersey. Our fair housing testing of revealed the following, is not a registered business with the State of New York. is not an incorporated business in New York State. is an illegal business which is operating as an unlicensed apartment sharing agent in violation of Article 12-C of the New York State Real Property Law. employees discriminate against B-l-a-c-k-s, P-u-e-r-t-o R-i-c-a-n-s, H-o-m-o-s-e-x-u-a-l-s, the D-i-s-a-b-l-e-d, etc. Modesto Esterlin Martinez collects an ADVANCE FEE, doesn’t find housing as promised, simply refers the victim to another unlicensed SCAM that collects another ADVANCE FEE, then does not refund the money he scammed from the victim in violation of New York State law. .
