I went to Once upon a child in Jensen Beach Fl on April 4, 2015 at 4:14pm for the first and last time. I was looking to purchase a Bouncer/ Swing to keep at my home for my grand daughter. I found what I thought to be perfect. It was even the matching pattern to my other Graco items. I asked a young blond to check out the item. She plugged it in and it swung. I asked about the vibration unit. With an attitude she went and got a battery, On her hand and knees pulled the battery cover off. It did vibrate but the battery would not stay in place. She assured me when I got it home and put the cover on it, it would be fine. I asked her about returns. She told me 5 days. So I purchased it. I went to target and bought batteries. When I got home and went to set it up I found The battery cover broken and battery acid in side the vibration unit. So I went online and purchased a new vibration unit for $14.00. eBay item number: 181700085249. On Easter Sunday April 5, 2015. The baby came over and I went to use the swing so we could eat dinner. When I put her in it and turned the swing on (no vibration unit) it was slow a clicked when gliding. (worked fine with no baby in it). She weighed 14.8 lbs on Thursdays doctor appointment. PRODUCT DETAILS Weight capacity: 5.5 to 30 lbs. Seat pad: machine wash Swing: spot clean Requires 5 “D” batteries (not included) I returned to Once upon a child in Jensen Beach. Tuesday morning at 10:10 am to return glider to be told I only had 24 hour to return the item. Then she said the item was sold AS IS. That is not what the blond said and I have 2 witnesses. After trying to explain the situation she said I needed a receipt. I never received a receipt. Only a 15% off appreciation card with a lot of stamps on it I did provide a copy of the credit card statement . She did agree to a store credit. I was able to purchase the glider with a different pattern on it for $112.00 out the door at KOHL’S. I really have no use for an 85.60 store credit. I wont be returning for several reasons. Wasn’t impressed with customer service in the store while shopping. All those young people working for her weren’t very knowledgeable or helpful. They obviously don’t know the store policies. Not willing to help me get the glider to the counter or in my car. I’m no spring chicken. And lied about the vibration unit being fine. I WOULD HAVE NEVER SPENT 100.00 THERE IF THEY SAID IT COULDN’T BE RETURNED IF THERE WAS A PROBLEM. BOTTOM LINE BUYER BEWARE .
