One Direction Casting advertises on sites such as Craig’s List looking for talent for various modelling and tv commercial style opportunities. They lure talent in by posting ads for high paying jobs with major companies. Potential talent is texted and asked to attend a conference call to introduce themselves to the representative (at the time of this report, ‘Sara James’). The rep then describes a little about the job, informs of the rate of pay and tells the talent if they are chosen they will be texted with company website information, to register for their services so they may be accepted for the job. The service charges almost $100 to join and a monthly fee of approx $40 thereafter. This is not legal for a modeling or talent agency, which is what the company are essentially acting as. Once joined, talent will find these people do not return their calls/texts/emails and the jobs are actually scams. Avoid registering with this company at all costs, unless you want to lose your money to a fraud! .
