Please please please: Do NOT use Optima Tax service. In September 2013 I hired them to work on my audit. I was audited for 2009,2010,2011. Turbo tax audit protection did not go to the hearing for me as they stated they would and the IRS automatically won my case. Lester Gardner sold me on Optima. The initial fee was $1300.00. They then charged me an additional $6000.00. When asked why so much they stated it was based on the $ amount I owed the Irs. . In the last 2 years. I have had my wages garnished by the state of Missouri. I have had numerous IRS levy notices, Every time I contacted Jennifer Barber (senior account manager) it was I did not send something. I had to fill out new forms. Even though on two separate occasions she had the documents she just did not open eh file. In another instance they failed to notice a rollover of funds for 2012 and had the IRS show I owed 50000.00moer in income and then stated I had to show them more proof. All they wanted me to do was settle with the IRS however it was always pa y the IRS $900.00. They would never do what I asked and re open the audited years that I had receipts for. It was whatever was easiest. After 2 years of dealing with this I contacted Liberty tax in Wentzville Missouri. Jeff (The owner) for $1325.00 did my taxes from 2009-2015. He got me from owing the state of Missouri $18000.00 to them refunding me $4000.00. He got my 2012 corrected which Optima could not. HE got my audit years submitted for review and awaiting a result. . Please do yourself a huge favor. Never use these people. I will be more than happy to supply all the emails from Optima and all the correspondence to show they do not do what they want. There positive reviews are written by inside team members to combat the truth.

I owe the IRS 11,000 bucks. On
I owe the IRS 11,000 bucks. On or about March 2014 I contacted Optima because I heard good things. I called one of their associates Troy Tillery and he gave me an initial free consult and advised me to give him 2 payments of 480.00 and he said they could work with the IRS on my behalf and possibly reduce my debt. In late April I called Troy Tillery and asked him if I could delay one of my payments by a few weeks, and he said that it would affect his commission and hold up the proceedings. Even though I was dead broke and laid off I kept the payments on track as prearranged. 3 or 4 months went by and I was contacted by Brenda from Optima and she said there was nothing they could do for me, very perfunctorily I might add. I was in shock and told her I wished they would of told me this before they sucked nearly 1000 dollars from me. I was provided nothing in writing about their findings, only a phone call from Brenda telling me too bad.
