So I went today to a coinstar location liosk in Artizona to deposit 250.00 cash that my daughter was going to use in 2 days for her trip. I figured this would be safer than her carrying cash. It was supposed to be an easy process to deposit it into my paypal account. And i would just auth her to then use my card for emergencies or whatever she needed to spend. I proceded to put all 250.00 in their machine after i linked my paypal account from their kiosk. When I went to finalize the machine said sorry , we can not process, out spit a reciept that said call for a refund , the store location can not give you your money back. After calling customer service I was treated like I was inconviencing them for my money. After all you just took all my 250.00 cash and now what. Sir you have to file a claim and we will mail you a check with your money back in 7-10 days……. are you kidding me, no overnight , no wire transfer , no we will fix on our end and deposit to your paypal account. Nope just wait till we mail your refund of your cash…………. This seems like a great ripoff if it is happening on a larger scale , maybe the FTC needs to look at this company since they are a finalcial institution who transfers and deposits funds. How much interest can they be making keeping other funds in a large amt. for 7-10 days????? Now my daughter will be stuck going on her trip with far less money than she had saved up…… Avoid this Kiosk at all cost………… just go buy a visa or amex card load it and pay their fee. Coinstar or CONstar ????????????????
