I would not recommend anyone to go to Patrick BMW because that entire place is concerned about it is making money.
What is it that one expects when he or she visits a reputed company’s car showroom? I’ll tell you. He expects to be respected, to be showed around properly, to not be judged or laughed at and most importantly – to be treated with at least some humanity.
I had been researching for some time about the procedures involved and some other stuff. The nearest showroom from my place was Patrick BMW. Before my 27th birthday, I wanted to be a proud owner of a BMW and therefore I called up the place a week before my birthday and scheduled an appointment. I had made up my mind and selected the car that I wanted to buy for myself with my hard-earned money.
I reached the place on time. The atmosphere of the place felt quite suffocating. When I told this to a staff member, I was not paid heed to. I kept waiting for an hour until a salesman finally came to me and showed me the car. The car seemed more beautiful in person. I could feel its power just by looking at it. Now came the time for filling up all the necessary paperwork. I had with me all the required documents and thus it did not take much time for me to complete the paperwork process. After I had signed the papers, I could not help but overhear two staff members making fun of my height. I did not expect this from people working there. I decided to ignore this and move ahead. I paid for the car and the keys were given to me. After a while, the salesperson came and told me that the car would be delivered to my place within a week as there were some ‘technical issues’. Although I was a bit disappointed, I decided not to spoil my mood and agreed to it.
After 10 days, the car was delivered to my place. I could not believe what I saw. The car had several scratches on its passenger door. There were at least 4 different scratches. It was almost as if someone had driven the car way too carelessly after I had purchased it. How could it be so? That whole day, I kept calling Patrick BMW but there was no answer from their side. I had to go down there myself the very next day to file for a replacement. When I started the matter to the manager of the place, I was told to not create a scene as they had no fault. I was denied a refund as well as a replacement. I had to get the car serviced. Imagine buying your dream car after saving up your hard-earned money for long and then dropping the new car off at a service centre a few days after the delivery. Painful, right?
