My mother hired Paul R Parrish, Pensacola Fl, two years ago (2013). She knew him through friends of hers at church — their son-in-law. He was her go-to handyman and did a lot of work for her around the house and yard, with nothing amiss. Then she hired him to feed her cats and keep an eye on the house for abut a week at Thanksgiving (2014) and two weeks at Christmas (2014) while she visited family — not houseitting or staying there. Shortly after her return, her church friends called to alert her that they were missing items, including prescription meds and storm shutters. Mom looked around and discovered that several rings, our ancestor’s Civil War medals, and 5 place settings of silver were gone. Most of the rings are unique and irreplaceable, from my beloved dead grandparents. One of the rings belonged to my sister who died in a car accident at age 20, the only item of jewelry my mother had of hers. These are treasured pieces of family history that our children will probably never Have. No money will ever replace this loss, and my mom is devastated. Neighbors told her Paul R Parrish wold stay at the house for hours, when he really was supposed to check in twice a day. She has an alarm system and nobody unauthorized would be able to get in. She tried to contact Paul (who, while he worked for her was in frequent touch), left a voice mail, and then soon after his phone number was disconnected. Paul r Parrish has a lengthy pawn list and we are trying to locate the stolen items. He also has a criminal record: shouldwehire.com/florida/florida/paul-r-parrish/5708528. Hindsight is 20-20 of course, we just hope to alert others before this dirtbag rips them off. .
