I’m in Fullerton CA on business travel, and happened to lock my keys in my rental car. Found a very professional looking website for Fullerton Locksmith Service (AKA Pauls Locksmith), which even had a coupon for $29 automotive unlock service. To be fair, there was a disclaimer on the coupon that stated (in very fine print) that this was a minimum charge, and did not include the $15 service fee. I figured that the charge would be higher than $29, and prepared myself for a $50-75 bill. I called, and the locksmith showed up in about 30 minutes. He looked at the car, explained that this was a very complicated car to get into, and the charge would be $160!!! Unfortunately, I had to get to the airport, so I agreed to the charges. He made me run my credit card before he would do anything, and then proceeded to open the car door in less than 3 minutes. This is no exaggeration, I timed it. Less than 3 minutes for a ‘very difficult car to get into’… Their website is EXTREMELY misleading, and their technicians are obviously trained in how to scam the customer. Stay away from these guys..
