I got a frenulectomy from the PDA Dental, I made the full payment for the procedure (my insurance states that I was charged $200 and I only had to pay $51). The doc told me that I will have to come to the clinic after a week. He stated that he want to make sure that I’m healing properly and that I don’t face any unnecessary health issues. A week passed and I came to the office for the doctor’s appointment, however, the receptionist stopped me from seeing the doctor. I will not write the name of the receptionist, but for the sake of this post, let’s call her Amy. So Amy didn\’t want me to see the doctor. She said that I haven’t paid them the full amount and I need to pay the medical bills. I already paid all the bills as I told you guys before, I did not owe them a single penny. I told her the that I paid the bills already, however, she didn’t listen to me. After around 30 minutes later, the doctor himself came and told me that he is ready to do the checkup, but Amy here was not letting me go to the doctor and she told the doc that I wasn;t ready. I had already paid for that appointment from which Amy was stopping me. She stated that my account has been frozen temporarily. Around a month ago, I got a tooth filling from this clinic and I paid them from my pockets as my insurance was not functioning properly, Amy told me that I can simply get a refund from the insurance company by sending them a copy of the bill to the insurance company. I did exactly that and she says that she was expecting to receive the refund check and until they don’t get that money, they will not do any of my treatments! This does not make any sense because I already paid the company the full amount from my wallet, I didn’t owe them anything and even then she was furious and didn’t behave in a helpful manner. She was unable to give any rational explanation for my account getting frozen, she was making random excuses and didn’t provide me a solid clarification. She was talking bullshit and she did that for almost 40 minutes. I started to realize that I will not be getting any benefits from arguing with her and I just left the office. They didn\’t let me meet the doctor even after I paid for the appointment beforehand. Amy was implying that I owed the office money which I clearly didn’t. This whole fiasco was extremely saddening for me. I would advise you to keep away from PDA Dental and go to any other clinic. They don’t know how to treat a client and they clearly have a problem in their accounting department. Their inadequate behaviour is totally unacceptable.
