I have a pioneer VSX-1021-K that I purchased for 500$ about 3 years ago. This is a home entertainment receiver system. The system has worked good until the last few months when I started getting sound issues. I was able to troubleshoot myself and get fixed with about 15-20 minutes of tinkering. The system displayed an error of UE22 which instructions indicate to update software. When I attempted this it told me I had the most recent version. This continued to happen for several months but was able to get working again when it did. If finally stopped working. I was able to get a newer version of the software update and attempted to install. The system would start the process and get hung up or not progess at all. giving an update error. I attempted all of the troubleshooting I could find after doing extensive research. There were a lot of options since this was a common problem that I discovered numerous people were having. When I contacted Customer Service I was on hold for over 30 minutes. Finally got through to someone who was very rude. When i explained the issue I was told the error indicated a system board issue and no further troubleshooting or help was given after I probed for some questions. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was given to voicemail asked for a call back and never received anything. I expect that a system this new that has issues that are common across customers would have a fix in place and or would repair this issue. There was absolutely no ownership or help provided here. I’m very disappointed and feel I was Ripped Off by purchasing this Pioneer product.
