I was hired as a paid intern with Pixel Creative Services through an ad that I saw on Craigslist. Christina (the owner of the business) paid me for the first project I did but left me hanging on the second one. I was making good progress on the second project and I was asking her questions through email, when she just stopped responding to my emails. She said she was busy before she stopped responding so I told her not to worry about it and just assumed she was going to answer my questions when she had time. This happened in September. It’s now December. I emailed her about a week ago wishing her a happy Thanksgiving. She never responded to me, so I sent her a second email a week later asking for payment for the work I did on the projects. She refused to pay me because she claimed I blew her off and stopped responding to her emails, which isn’t true at all because I have proof that the last email between us was one I sent. She’s refusing to pay me for over $200 worth of work and she isn’t willing to compromise. If this is how she treats the people that work for her, I don’t even want to know how she treats her clients. .
