07/19/2016 1500hrs. To Whom It May Concern, In nineteen years I have “attempted” to be a customer of Porsche of Arlington, 3154 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Arlington, VA.. Of course nearly twenty years back Porsche of Arlington was then under the name of Heischmann Audi Porsche. Regardless of whoever owns and manages this dealership i can tell that the experienced sales persons judge a sale by what a customer drives onto the lot with. And probably the way they’re dressed as well? At 1500hrs. (3:00P.M.) on Wednesday July 19, 2016 I walked into Porsche of Arlington looking for a brochure regarding the new Porsche MacanS. Except for a facelift of this dealership little had changed. The sales personnel sized up my work attire and decided I’d be better off at the Toyota dealer down the street. I finally got a very sweet young lady from another department to get me a brochure which she cheerfully did. Then asked me if I wanted to speak with a sales “professional”? Yes I answered, but all she came back with a business card with the salespersons name on it, “Shahid Kahn”.. Granted I’m just a 32K per year Arlington Co. School bus driver. But the recent sale of my deceased Gran Fathers estate in Hawaii has finally given me at age 60, the opportunity to purchase my first Euro car. In addition all the other Euro automakers including Porsche’s sister divisions, Audi and VW. Are marketing lower priced offerings for those of us wishing to step up into the refinements available in Euro cars. I mean why should I spend 70K on a Tahoe, when I can own a legendary Porsche? Please someone remind Porsche of Arlington that the 21st century is upon us. And that Porsche ownership is no longer restricted to businessman and brain surgeons. I’m not really looking for this complaint to result in positive change. So in December when I buy a Macan it’ll be from any Porsche dealership in this state or another that knows something about customer service in a changing world… Sincerly, Robert D. Milliken
