Progressive Auto Relocation is a shoddy, unethical, company with lying, dishonest sales people and an owner (Liam Connolly) utterly unable of honoring a contract or doing the right thing after things go bad. We asked for a quote, they sent one via email looking very professional and from that point on, it was a complete and utter NIGHTMARE. Dealing with Benny Lugo at Progressive was one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered in business. Supposedly a reputable company, Progressive stated that our car would be collected on Monday, August 19. It wasn’t. It was supposed to be collected on Tuesday, August 20th. It wasn’t. The car was supposed to be collected on Wednesday, August 21st. It wasn’t. It was finally collected on Thursday, August 22nd at 9.30am. Delivery of the vehicle to Stanford, CT was supposed to have taken place, as agreed to by Benny Lugo at Progressive by August 30 at the latest. It never arrived. The vehicle may never have even left California. We don’t know. Speaking to Benny on Thursday, August 29, he advised the car had never been collected and was, in fact still in Huntington Beach (it wasn’t). This, despite the fact that Progressive had confirmed the car would be delivered by August 30. When Benny finally got a clue as to what might have happened, the excuses included “well, the company we used had a fire and the building burnt down”. (It didn’t). The driver’s father died (he didn’t). The driver is in hospital (he wasn’t). The company (Performance Auto Movers) that Benny used to relocate our vehicle operates out of a trailer in a lot in one of the worst areas in Los Angeles. I know this because I had to go there to find our vehicle (eventually). Benny also sent me to a residential area with a fake address stating this was the business site. It wasn’t. But thank you for the three hour drive on a holiday weekend, Benny. Finally, we got our vehicle back and now have to start the entire process over because the owner of the company, LIAM CONNOLLY, after the complete debacle caused by his own staff, refused to honor the contract and find another relocation company to move the car. We hope to get the funds back from Progressive, and if they don’t we’ll go through our bank. Shame on you, Liam Connolly and Progressive Auto Relocation. Run – run as fast as you can away from Progressive. Do not use them. There are no words to describe how appalling and unethical this company is. .
