My counseling style is grounded in the humanistic perspective. I believe we all have the desire & ability to reach our full potential and that each person has their own vision of what that potential is for her/himself. My job is guide you on your journey to your ultimate destination. I use art & play based interventions in my practice to help you develop insight, awareness, & understanding about your experience & aide you in using that information to create lasting change in your life. I interweave important concepts from cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, gestalt, & solution-focused therapy paradigms appropriate to your goals.I have used art therapy to address numerous issues including, but not limited to: depression, trauma, anxiety, relationship issues, social-communication skills, behavioral problems, self-esteem, emotional regulation, addiction, children & teens in crisis, overcoming past abuse, grief, loss, & more.
