Company advertises that the oil change includes a new oil filter. After the tech was finished with the job, I approached him and asked him if I could see the filter that he took out of my car. He could not produce it. The manager came out and after explaining the problem, he told the tech to put a new one in there. Upon checking out, I noticed that the charged me $10.63 for a filter. They are not honoring their advertising. It’s nothing but a scam. .

I took my car to Rick Johnson
I took my car to Rick Johnson for an oil change. When my oil change was done they wanted to charge me a thousand dollars for brake pads and struts.I told them no that was way overpriced about 700 dollars to high. 3 days later I had no oil in my engine. Some idiot forgot to put the oil drain cap back in place tightly enough and all the oil drained out of my engine. I called and spoke to the Operations Manager named Kevin. He rudely raised his voice to me, talked while I was talking, and hung up twice on me then the third time I called, he refused to answer the phone. They deliberately sabotage my engine. I do not recommend this company to anyone. Rick Johnson, if you read this, how can you have anyone on your staff that deliberately sabotages a customer’s engine plus have an operations manager such as Kevin? Rhetorical.
As a previous employee of Rick Johnson
As a previous employee of Rick Johnson Auto and Tire I would highly discourage ANYONE from having their vehicle serviced at ANY of their locations. This company hires the bottom of the barrel technicians willing to work highly underpaid. These underpaid technicians are also not ASE certified and untrained. Rick Johnson has been known to hire felons fresh out of prison. If you are going to Rick Johnson, enjoy your $9.95 oil change and free tire rotation. They will inspect your car in hopes of upselling you. Take their estimate and get a second opinion and a second estimate. The expected mark up on parts is ridiculous. Rick Johnson overcharges for parts claiming that they are more expensive because they come with a lifetime warranty. They are using bottom of the barrel parts that bottom of the barrel technicians are installing. Rick Johnson has one of the highest employee turn overs I have ever seen because he has nothing to offer his employees. No 401K, No reasonable insurance, not even direct deposit, nothing, on top of being underpaid. This company is very poorly managed. They treat their emplyoee’s like scum. Very disrepectful and condescending. Some store managers are working 11 hour days, 6 days a week with no breaks, which I know is against the law. Plan on leaving the company on good terms because you have a better opportunity? Better use all your vacation time before you turn in your notice because they will fire you when you give your notice so they don’t have to pay what is owed to you. Leaving this poorly ran company is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Just in time to avoid all the major changes coming in May.
