My cousin recently moved to Colorado. He had been wanting to expand his business here and finally after planning for more than a year, he shifted. One of the very requests he made was that he wanted me to help him buy a car. I was given the responsibility of choosing and buying the car. The only thing that he told me was that he wanted a BMW. I did not have much idea about their cars or their official dealerships around me and therefore I sought help from a few co-workers as well as the internet. My co-workers told me to go to look for a car dealer and the internet suggested the name of Schomp BMW. Since my cousin had quite a strict budget, hiring a car dealing agent would’ve put a strain on the already tight budget and therefore I decided to go with the internet’s suggestion. I opened the website and checked the inventory and there seemed to be a lot of really good options. The reviews of the place too were good. I decided to walk into the place to check out the options more comfortably and so, I went there on the very next day.
When I stepped in, I noticed that the place had not been cleaned as there was dust all around. I am sure that I saw a few cobwebs as well. However, I ignored all this and decided to focus on the main reason that I was at the place. I had already made up my mind that I was going for a sedan. I met the salesperson and told him to show me some sedans. I could sense that he wanted to take rest rather than showing me sedans but he did not say anything. He half-heartedly showed me a few cars that seemed interesting. The only problem was that he did not know much about the features of most of the cars. It was apparent that he was facing difficulties in answering my car-related questions as he kept ignoring them. After almost an hour, I found a suitable car and decided to buy it. I completed all the paperwork-related procedures and made the payment. I even got the car insured. I was told that I would need to come the next day and collect the car myself. I found this a bit odd since most places deliver the car to the customer’s doorstep. I agreed to this too.
The next day when I came to collect the car, I was told that a mistake was made. The car had already been sold. When I heard these words come out of a manager’s mouth, I was startled. Such a big showroom of such a prestigious company and they cannot even keep track of the status of the cars that are showcased at their showroom. I was told that my money would be refunded to my bank account. I had no words left and so I left the place without even saying a word.
It took Schomp BMW 3 months to refund the total amount that I had paid. My recommendation is that if you want to waste your time and energy, go to Schomp BMW and also, expect some mistakes from their side as well.
