Ever since 2000, I have been a professional scuba instructor, I have trained hundreds of scuba divers and after my interactions with Scubatude I can guarantee you one thing that they are NOT good at satisfying the customer as they have the WORST customer service. They have a plasma screen monitor planted on their wall which indicates the prices of all their different items when I took a glance at the screen, the prices seemed good. Seeing the reasonable prices, I chose to give my scuba equipment for servicing here instead of my regular place. However, by the time I came back to pick up my regulator, the prices of all the items and services DOUBLED, they added extra labour fee and the prices of the parts hiked up quite significantly. They were scamming me, as I was not notified about the price hike AT ALL. I didn’t receive a single call or text from Scubatude about the price hike. However, this was not the trigger point which forced me to write this post. I sent all my typical scuba regulating equipment to Scubatude to get it serviced. When I got my regulator back from them, the regulator started leaking. They made me wait till Tuesday before I can get my regulator fixed from the scuba shop. The owner of the shop Robert, in defence of his shop, told me that his shop services dozens of regulators at a time and he apologized for the fact that he couldn’t get the regulator fixed on time. He didn’t even mention a refund! It was the fault of HIS technician that my regulator started leaking. I was not offered any compensation. There was no guilt on Robert’s face. After a couple of minutes, the technician came with the regulator in his hand and told me that he replaces any part that he thinks is faulty. What I want to know is, If he really installed a brand new “o” Ring in my regulator then why did it fucking burst! Moreover, I was charged double the amount of money for a simple “O” ring. Scubatude ruined a great scuba day for me and as a professional scuba coach that mattered a lot for me. My clients take such incidents very seriously and I lost a client that day because the regulator didn’t work. Robert, if you are reading this then make sure that you change your fucking attitude before someone gives you a fresh knuckle sandwich. Your dead face and unhelpful attitude are not something you can get away with. I would advise you to improve your fucking customer service and STOP CHARGING HIDDEN FEES in your services and parts. Not everyone is a fool. I hope that Robert improves his behaviour and stops charging hidden fees, but considering his stubborn attitude, I’m pretty sure he is going to stay the same. STAY AWAY from Scubatude, this is the most incompetent, unprofessional and overpriced scuba shop I have ever seen in my whole life.
