$240 was taken out of my bank account. I was not offered the 3 monthly membership. It said $19 a month and I thought I would be paying monthly until I decided to end my membership. I see now that you only offer 3, 6 & 12 monthly membership l. I didn’t get a choice. I wasn’t expecting this amount of money to come out of my account and it has now left me short to do my basic shopping. I would like a refund of 9 months

DONT subscribe. It’s a NIGHTMARE!!! Initially the website looks $9.99 for the whole 6 months. When you come to pay, it will show $9.99 per week or a single payment of $239.76 I still paid thinking to try a week of 9.99 subscription but when I check my bank statement it was deducted by $239.76 Complete scam! Emailed their customer service but no response at all. Don’t even attempt to make an account.

Every email address Singles 50 provide is not real! I have emailed them all and continually get it sent back saying “address not found” Whole site is a scam!!! Stay away… It clearly states in terms and conditions that if you are not satisfied with the site you cancel the automatic direct debit. I quickly discovered that the site is a scam and when I attempt to Access my settings to cancel the subscription it does not allow access. It also does not allow me to delete my profile. This is against data protection rules.

First I downloaded the app for 40 Love this then changed to Singles50 when I logged in. I purchased what appeared to be 4 weeks for $19.99. I was then charged $79.96. I have emailed the site and they have stated a refund is not possible and to send a cancellation letter which I will do. I cannot locate an online cancellation form stated so I have sent a letter with the details required. We will see if this is the end of it or if they will charge again like they have with some of the other people complaining.

hi I subscribed to this website on the 10th of October 2019, only took a one month subscription as I needed to see if it is a good site or not. This was an amount for just over R200, 00When I tried to click on the cancel subscription button which is provided on my profile, it did not work. on Wednesday 13 November the company deducted R995, 00 out of my credit card account without my permission. Now they reply to my complaints by saying I had to post or email them a written cancellation. I want to know how they get permission to deduct a four month subscription amount when I initially only signed up for one month? please do something about these scammers, they are scamming many innocent people. I joined on the first week of august and now I received a mail that if I dont pay 350 Lei you are going to block my banck account . I actually met someone through Singles50, but my experience has been soured by the difficulty in cancelling my premium membership. I found the cancellation details on their FAQ page and followed them explicitly only to be advised that there is a 14 day minimum cancellation period. It turned out that I sent my cancellation 11 days before the next renewal date so now they are chasing me for another 6months payment and threatening to send a collection agency after me. I had cancelled that particular credit card for another reason so the automatic renewal didn’t proceed. My point is that the FAQ page did not mention anything about this 14 day cancellation period – so it appears they are trying to catch people out and grab extra money from members. Why else would they not be upfront about this? I have contacted customer service several times, they eventually promised to have the relevant manager look into it but I haven’t received a response. I will not be recommending this site to anyone, in fact I will be warning people to stay well clear. It seems they are not really very interested in helping people to find love, just making money out of vulnerable people. To resolve this issue I want them to accept my cancellation as of 7 Apr 2019 when I sent it and agree that I am not obliged to pay another 6 month membership.

I agreed to pay $9.99 for a service and was charged $235, which they claim I agreed to. They blocked my account until it was paid which meant I couldn”t close it or unsubscribe. My bank picked up the fraud an immediately stopped payment. Never the less I am being bombarded by their Martin Bell to pay up with threats of escalating fees and my credit rating being effected. It”s a blatant scam and I have screen shots from them that prove it. I have contacted Scamwatch in Australia plus other agencies along with a similar service in Luxembourg.

I have a had TWO supposedly legitimate Singles50 members get in contact with me that are using scamming techniques. Their technique is similar. They claim to be a local in South Africa but suddenly their cell numbers change to an 044 number (Europe). They create the illusion of interest, even getting supposed family members to write to telling how I have made meaning to their father’s life. The scam artists/grifters pepper their conversations with endearments and loving interactions. Within a week they have asked for banking details claiming they need to export tax money out of a country as they are setting up business here in SA, or they have just reeived a large cash sum from a business they recently sold and require legitimate bank accounts. I have written to Singles 50 cutomer service regarding this matter. They have remained silent. I would suggest this site as untrustworthy and not to waste your time or money on it

I have availed of Singles50 service and paid a small amount to try the site. Never availed of premium service . I deleted my account to them but with great difficulty and eventually notices stopped coming to my email. I assumed that it was all finished and dealt with. Last January 2019 I got notified that I got a 299 euro deduction from direct debit done by the mentioned site. When I complained about it to the bank they said that they cannot ask a payback to the site because I did access the site and gave my bank details. I asked that it be block to prevent a repetition of getting deducted which the bank did. But this month I got charged again for 99 euro stating for premium membership again this time from a different merchant, the reason why they got to deduct. But since they got blocked initially my bank initiated a payback after which Singles50 emailed me to ask for the charges. I asked for a contact number to resolve this but got no response. They keep sending and insisting that I owe them 99 euros.

I have been charged an amount of GBP 80.18 (EUR89.70, VRATE 1.1495 FGN PUR FEE 2.15) The date of the transaction is 29/01/2019. Supposedly i subscribed on 27/10/2019 @ 16:25. I maintain I did not make this subscription – I recall that i was taking a bath from 16:15 until 16:50. For reference my e-mail is [protected]@outlook.com. You will see that the above tranasaction includes an ‘FGN PUR FEE’… this suggests that i was out of the UK at the time. I confirm i have not been out of the UK since 25/10/2019. I have contacted my bank’s fraud department and they have requested that I contact you. I request a full refund of the above amount – i have no need of the services you appear to offer (you should be aware that i am a happily married old age pensioner!!! I have sent Via Fax (Who uses Fax anymore !!). Went to the Post Office to Fax off Cancellation. Nothing happened I have been charged again AUD$300 plus over seas transaction charge. I have tried numerous avenues to contact this company without any success. I have now gone to my Credit Card provider to report Fraudulent Transaction. Hoping this will put a stop to it all. I signed up for a 4 week trial period with singles50 site for $29.00…They then proceeded to deduct $99.00 NZ$ from my credit card…I called my NZ bank cancelled my credit card informed them of why and sent many emails to singles50 expressing my dissatisfaction… I informed them via email that I had cancelled my credit card to ensure they could not access further funds…this was in Dec 18…after following procedure on their site of how to cancel to ensure you met terms and conditions I prepared a cancellation letter attempted to try and fax to the number given and after 10 attempts of being constantly busy I emailed them on the 6th January well ahead of my 14 day period for renewal…They responded told me I could send a letter of cancellation via email of which I did but they never replied to this other than an automated message to to say they would get back to me within 3 working days…The next thing I know on the 21st January 19, they have attempted to deduct a further $300 NZ$ for a further 3 months after no acknowledging my cancellation letter…I received an email of demand/they use stand over tactics/bullying, informing me that they would set a collections agency onto me…If this continues I am going to report them to the NZ Commerce Commission a government body for protection of consumer rights and try and have them blocked from trading in NZ…I believe they are taking advantage of the fact that I am remotely located…this is disgusting and unethical behavior from any company and they should be shut down or at the very least investigated…please be aware and stay clear…

I signed up for what I thought was a 6 mth membership – paying monthly and the WHOLE 6 month payment was taken from my visa card. Not clear at all what you are doing when you sign up. And no contact details available so it’s hard to make a complaint. Not at all happy with the company. Would like to see them removed so that others don’t have the same issue.

I think it was around the 29th of September, not sure of the date, but I registered with Singles50 choosing premium, believing it was $9-11 I was very happy to register and maybe find my forever partner. When I went to register my car my payment failed. I went into my account and found that Singles50 deducted $239 out of my account. I am a struggler and I am very upset about this. I am one to take things further but looking at all the complaints online about the same issue with Singles50 I will take this further if I don’t get a response and the this issue is not rectified. I took out a membership for a month which was R 49, however they debited my card with R 49.00 per week = R 196.00. This is completely unacceptable. I would never have taken out a membership if that was the price. I have since asked them to cancel my membership. They have cancelled it but it will only come into affect from March-20. They then say that the profile can not be deleted. I will never go onto a date site again after my bad experience.
