It took me months to finalize the car which I was going to go. I had even checked the online inventory of Steven Creek BMW and I was lucky that the car which I had selected was available. The only thing I had no idea about was the final amount it would cost me (inclusive of all taxes). Therefore, I went to the place after taking a day off from work because I did not want to be there in a hurry.
On a Friday, I went to the place. When I entered the place, I saw a salesperson standing idly and so without wasting any more time, I approached him and asked about the car. The salesperson was kind enough to take me to the car and explain elaborately about the features. To be truthful, I was quite impressed because I had read a few negative reviews about the place regarding the behaviour of staff members. Since I already knew all about the car, right from the type of engine it had to the speakers present inside. I had already experienced its performance as my friend had the same model and so I did not request for a test-drive. I was quick to give a nod when the salesperson asked me whether I wanted to go for it. I filled up the necessary paperwork and attached photocopies of the required documents. The final bill amount, however, was a little more than what I had expected. I decided to compromise a bit and therefore, I paid for the car as well as for the insurance.
The delivery came in about a week and I was excited and happy. The car performed well on the first day. There were no issues with the performance. The first signs of trouble started appearing from the next day. I started facing problems while starting the car up. The next issue that presented itself was that the car started stopping suddenly in the middle of a smooth ride. I realized that I had been supplied with a defective piece but since I had paid for insurance, I wasn’t worried. I called up the place and took the car there. After inspection, I was told that my insurance will not cover the cost as the car was perfectly fine on the day of delivery. This came as a shock to me. I had not expected such a reply even after paying for insurance. No matter how much I tried telling them that it was not my fault, they were too adamant to listen. In was told that I would need to pay for the repairs as it was my fault that my new car was not functioning properly. I did not have enough money left after paying for the car to afford the cost of a new engine and so I walked out of there since I did not have any other option left.
I was made to pay for insurance in addition to for the car itself and all I got was a shitty car which was, in reality, a defective piece and to top all of this off, I was not even given claim to the insurance. This is what I experienced at Steven Creek BMW and I would hate to see anyone else being treated in the same way I was.
