I just read the complaint from a storquest customer from 2012 about a late delivery of a rent increase notice. I also received my notice about a week after it was “created”, giving me only 3 weeks to decide whether to vacate the unit or leave. I was told today by the local manager that the date on the notice was the date it was created and that “they were not responsible for the post office’s late delivery”. This is exactly the same excuse a previous reviewer had received from storquest. As the envelope postage was preprinted there was no way to verify that the letter was postmarked on the date of the form letter. In my experience it only takes two days to send a letter from southern California to New England so how is it that almost a week is required to send one from Salt Lake City Ventura County, California. My second complaint is that the rent was increased $17/month for my unit and is the 2nd such increase in a short time. I was told today that rates could be increased every nine months for up to 10% each time. This is my second increase. The first was from $150 to $161/month.
