I spent 2 hrs with customer service to no avail.went online with helpchat and they insist I have service I ddon’t have anything at all. They are giving me the run around. I recently purchased a Straight Talk Wireless wireless router at Wamart. It worked for about 2 days, then stopped working. I called the company to see whether I could be refunded my money for the router, and the wireless airtime cards I purchased. I was told I could get my money back for the router from Walmart, but not the airtime. The crazy thing is, I was sure I hadn’t used all of the airtime from my first card, and was positive I didn’t use the airtime from the second card. As a matter of fact, I called and had a customer service rep put the time for the second card on my account, and he told me the device must be broken. He said they don’t always work, but I could not get my money back for the card he just put on (or the other one). I asked to speak with a supervisor. I spoke with someone who identified herself as a Manager named Angelica, who eventually hung up on me. When she called me back, I told her I was reporting this company and their cheating ways to the Better Business Bureau.

08/02/2015 I purchased a Straight Talk $45 Unlimited phone card and two of the numbers on the service PIN are illegible. I contacted Straight Talk Customer Support and after over an hour on the phone nothing was solved. They refuse to refund me and say that my card has already been used after being given the underlined bar code number. Wal-Mart, where I purchased the card will not do anything because the card has been scratched off. I still have the receipt of the purchase. I want a full refund.

Received the run-around from the call center. couldn’t find a supervisor, couldn’t reach technical support and I’m still waiting on a solution to the problem. 2-8-10, I bought one of these #!!&%#$ ST phones and a $30.00 service card* “Oh BOY!” From day one, I haven”t been able to access my ST account on line, it states my account was under construction, number not valid and number not in system, , , —>BUT my phone worked! Come 3-6-10, I figured I better add some time! I bought another $30.00 card, called ST customer service and they couldn”t add time either but they gave me a “ticket number” and told me “This will be solved in 1-2 day”s”. The next day they shut my phone off. I borrowed a phone (again) and got the ST phone turned back on and still had NO account access on line.. SO! I Called them and started complaining! They gave me a “Ticket Number” and shut my phone off again. Here starts the revolving door. I”ve called them 11 times as of today (4-6-10) I”ve gotten 8 “ticket numbers”, all escalated. Today I refused to “GO AWAY” and demanded to talk to a supervisor at their phone-in customer service department and was switched to 4 different mumbling ###”s who wanted to “defer” another ticket number on me. (A supervisor is supposed to call me on my ST phone sometime in the next few days and offer me a new account). My phone is shut off. All my phone is good for is the clock and storing numbers, nothing else works. We All Need To Get Together and File A Class Action Lawsuit Against Them!! Before they turn into an ENRON of cell service.

About 4 months ago I went from Tracfone to Straight Talk, which is the same company. I purchased the LG 290CM phone, which has buttons on the sides and I”m forever accidently pushing them when I get the phone out of the case, which sux. My major problem is that 99% of incoming calls disconnect after about 30 seconds. I”ve called numerous times to downtown Calcutta or where ever it is after long periods of time on hold and than there”s the language barrier. I can never get a direct answer if my problem is the provider or the phone. He/She always “reprograms” my phone which doesn”t work. I was asked to note what providers the disconnected callers use, and ironically my two major callers are with Verizon, and its my understanding Straight Talk uses Verizon towers. Apparently there isn”t anyway to contact Straight Talk except through the Mid East. I even contacted LG, which suggested I contact the provider. I can place the call and talk all day and I”ve started ignoring the received calls and I call them back. Which sux the most; phone, service provider, or customer service?

Among all the service providers for cell phones this has to be the worst. Purchased the straight talk phone for our daughter last year. By January they disconnected it. After a lengthy conversation, they admitted the problem was on their end. Since then it”s happened three more times. Tonight we have spoken with the credit card company and they”ve taken the payment out and then disconnected the phone. It”s very frustrating especially when you talk with representatives that act as if they are reading off a menu. We expect her to get the service owed to her for this month then we will switch to Boost or Cricket. At least if there is a problem, we can drive to the location, and correct the problem in real time with people who speak our native language. The problem with “Straight Talk” is they don”t know how to do it. Walmart should be ashamed of the service (?) it”s providing with their cell phones. If not I”m ashamed for you. As soon as the month is up, our disconnect with straight talk will be permanent. Stay away from this offer and keep your sanity.

An ex girlfriend stole a phone from me and I went online to my account to find she had somehow put my account in her name and she never had access to my password or my pin and my bankcard was on file for the account. Ive had the account and my phone number for years and now she had both my active phones under her name. i called and was able to get my account recovered and changed the pin and password. I bought a new phone and put the number on it that she had stolen and a couple days later the phone says sim card not provisioned and no network. I go to my account and she has managed to put it all back into her name. I called them again and they informed me very rudely that my phone, the new one was a stolen phone. I tried to explain what was going on but I could not reason with anyone there. They were totally oblivious to the fact that this was my account, my phone numbers, and my bank card on file. They insisted that she must have known the new pin and password but that is impossible. I’m sure she simply called them and they changed it into her name again. My new phone was now on a blacklist and couldnt be activated. Again they were extremely rude and hung up on me several times. They insisted that I show proof that I had put the last refill on the phone and they would reactivate it. They could have looked and saw that I refilled the phone on my bankcard through them but at this point she had purchased a refill card and in these idiots mind that made the phone hers because I couldnt show that I was the last to refill it. She appearently didnt have to provide any proof of ownership to get the phone and my account changed into her name and have my new phone blacklisted and useless to me.I finally got reciepts from walmart for both phones showing that I had purchased them on the same card they had on file. I was able to recover the account again that had two active phones of mine and now a blacklisted phone and my bank card on it. I finally got someone to give me the email address where I could send the reciepts to prove the phones were mine. The woman read the email as fast as she could to keep me from getting it and after I yelled loud enough she read it slowly so i could understand it and she was being a total [censored] about it. At this point I am waiting for a reply from that department but from what I’ve seen so far I can’t expect much. I’ve never seen such blatant stupidity and rudeness from any other company before.

They won’t restore my service although they’re the provider the refer me to the joke of a leasing company! How does this work when the issue isn’t the bill not being paid? Approx. 3 months ago my husbands phone went missing. I called emediately to have the number go on the blacklist. No problem, right? In the meantime, we had purchased a 3 month plan a week prior to his phone going missing. I spoke with a rep from Straightalk who assured me that when we got a new phone that we could re-establish the number and we would not lose any of his minutes. I called back a few days later after purchasing a new phone to get the remaining minutes activated and was told that we could not get the number back or our minutes re-instated. That bill was a little over 200 bucks. If someone pays for something then that something becomes the property of the purchaser whatever that something is. Period. So when the purchaser is denied a per-paid service of 3 months after only a week of using the service that is called stealing the rest from the purchaser. Period. STEALING. Not to mention that phone number belonged to our tree care business and we probably lost a ton of business. So not only did Straight talk deny our prepaid service and number, they denied us the right to continue our tree care business to our customers and in turn lost a lot more that the 200 bucks. All I ask is for a refund of the phone and service plan. If not, there will be a lawsuit and they would have to pay a lot more than that. I do have my reciept BTW. Thank you for your time, Rebecca M. As a customer I used my phone as a hotspot as my wife came to visit from my country and for 2 months you don’t buy a phone to keep her connected with whatsapp but as friendly as you are you suspended my device due to using my phone as a hotspot I then went and bought a so called hotspot device and am I regretting that with hardly any reception it is one of most worthless items I’ve ever bought as when you put a phone next to it the phone would have tremendous signal but this wonderful device of yours have no signal at all therefore she are off line the whole day until I get home at night and then her friends at home are sleeping already therefore if you can’t come up with solution don’t even bother getting back to me as we already have learned is that you rather hide than to resolve a problem and yes if you have a solution don’t bother after the end of August as she is going back home then

As a technical support representative, I’m always in different places, using a different device, or switching between one carrier and another. However, I have never had such am abysmal experience with a service in my life as I have with Straight Talk. I previously used their $45/Month 10GB LTE plan, and reached my data cap abnormally quickly. I had basically just set the phone up four days prior, and bought the service. However, after four days of fairly normal use (Music, Facebook and a few Youtube videos), ten gigabytes was simply gone. While fairly exasperated by this, I knew that the $55/Month plan was supposedly truly unlimited, no LTE cap. I decided to purchase that, and completely eat the $45 I had already spent. This, as it turned out, was a mistake. I noticed serious inconsistencies with my service that hadn’t been present before. Dropped calls while on full signal, random slow-downs in my data speeds, and sometimes I would get messages saying that I didn’t have service when tryi g to make a call or send a text. That was the breaking point. I wasn’t going to pay for a service that didn’t work. However, I called their customer service line first. What happened next was such bundle ridiculousness and derailment. The man who answered the phone (with an almost incomprehensible thick accent) was swift to I form me that “this wasn’t the normal experience”, even before I’d finished talking. He then went on to tell me that get fix that for me. Great, right? Not even close. After five minutes of silence from me, I which he typed and then yelled for someone to co.e help him, I was put in the phone with his supervisor, who told me that their entire system was down, and they couldn’t help me at all. He asked me to call back I two hours. Whatever, fine. I called back. Only to find that the system had never been down, but the technical support department was now closed. Twenty minutes later, I walked out of the Verizon store sporting a brand new phone and service, which I’ve had none of those problems with. ST Wireless was completely unprofessional about their basically unusable service, and I would struggle to recommend them to anyone with more than two brain cells to rub together. Said going to investigate.. I told them that sprint towers were down in my area.. Friends who had sprint were in the same boat. Asked for refund for time not able to use phone.. By far the worse customer service I have ever dealt with. I work in customer service and am still in shock. First of all my phone, which I’ve had less than six months, will not work. Did everything the service tech said and still the phone was dead. When they finally agreed to send a new phone I was told I would have to send my old phone first. Then he was surprised when I became frustrated that I would be sending a phone back with a ton of personal data on it. After I finally agreed to send my old phone back he asked for my address five times. I asked him twice if my account which should be there in front of him had my address on it. He said it did. I asked what was the problem. He then proceeded to ask for my address AGAIN. I am not happy at all. I do not want to send my phone back first. I will not be able to prove I was not at fault with the phone through dropping or water damage. Also, I have phone numbers, pictures, calendar entries, bookmarks, etc. which are private. Straight Talk has by far the worse customer service ever…next to Wal-Mart of course.

Cancelled my service in June 2019. Payment came out in July 2019. Called customer service (joke) and was told account closed. I said I know and I want my money back. After speaking to 3 idiots, my debit card is now associated with an account that is not mine. Told rep to remove my debit card number because I didn’t agree to pay for this account. They would not give me the account number or phone number. I have to cancel my card and Dispute the charge. Crooked talk! Do not even think about doing business with these criminals! I purchased a straight talk cell phone and service plan card at walmart – $134. I activated the phone on line at straighttalk.com, entering the phone”s serial number and the service card”s pin which was required to activate service on the phone. The phone worked for 2 hours before completely shutting down. I returned the phone to walmart and exchanged it for an upgrade phone. I was told I could transfer the remaining days (29) on the service plan card to my new phone. That was not true. When I phoned straight talk customer service, in belize, central america I was told by a straight talk representative, with very limited english skills, that I had to purchase another $45+ service card for the new phone as the original service card went with the old, broken phone, and that I cannot activate the new phone until I purchase another card! I asked “what if the second phone is also defective?” “then you have to get a new phone and buy another service plan card.” I think this is called extortion – for certain, it is a slimy way to do business! I am filing a formal complaint with the ri state attorney general”s office, consumer justice branch. Bottom line: straight talk is crooked talk! Do not even think about using these criminals!

Dates-12/10/17-12/12/17, Last 4 phone digits (3584): Incident: Was using my phone, watching YouTube, no issues, when internet stopped working. Found out later in the day that I was unable to make/receive calls or texts. My husband called straighttalk-they told him to have me call back in the morning. I called in the morning-after a few useless attempts to get the phone working (switching it off/back on, searching my address) she told me to call back in the evening. I told her that didn’t work for me, so she transferred me to her supervisor. The man said he was trying to connect me and asked to wait. There was no music to confirm I was put on hold, just silence. I asked politely if he was still there and there was no answer. He had hung up on me. I called in the evening and was put on a call back list. After 22 minutes, I was called back. The man did the same attempts and proceeded to call the network provider. He tried for 40+ minutes to call while keeping me on hold. Afterwards he told me that the provider was closed for the day and to call back in the morning. I was so upset that I waited a total of 71 minutes, that I was being patient, and I was being polite just to be told I’d have to call back in the morning that I started to cry and hung up. I called back in the morning (2 days of issues-0 solutions). He actually tried some other things to try and fix the problem and I was having faith that this guy would fix it. Got to a point though where he asked if I’d be okay with wiping the phone clear “like a new phone”. I told him to hold on so I could take some pictures off so I wouldn’t lose them. After that he walked me through it. Everything on my phone was erased. Then we went to start up my phone. The phone said I needed a wifi connection to set it up. The man did not tell me this and I was located at a place with no wifi. He just told me to find a place with wifi and set it up on my own and see if it works or buy a new phone (I don’t have a lot of money to do this) and set a new phone up. I started crying again and hung up. He tried to “call me back”. But he literally let the phone ring just once, so I wouldn’t had a chance to pick it up anyways. I believe he just went through the motions of his workplace policy with no effort to actually see it through. So now I’m stuck without a phone, everything cleared from it, and everyone I spoke with just gave up when they didn’t know what else to do. I’ve lost 2 days worth of call/text/data that I’ve paid for. I haven’t been able to do my work this morning because I’ve had to deal with this. If there is an emergency with my child no one can reach me other than through my work phone. Very anger inducing and frustrating and I was trying my hardest to be patient and polite. Desirable Resolution: someone to fix my phone, tell me why I need to stay w/this company and extra time on my phone for the days that I have paid for and lost. Otherwise I will be switching companies.

Dear straight talk, I am very disappointed with your bring your own phone plan. I recently bought a Samsung galaxy s8+ unlocked phone for the bring your own phone plan. Sadly my new phone was not compatible with your service. If you have a plan that says bring your own phone why does the phone have to be compatible if you bring it over. If it”s not compatible your basically telling people to buy a new phone. You also basically only have one color of s8+ orchid gray. I would have liked midnight black. Do not buy straight talk!!! You will regret it. They are too cheap to pay real people to be customer service. Everyone is in india and they get mad when you can’t understand what they’re saying. They also have no idea how to solve any problems. I bought airtime and tried to add it to my phone and for some reason it did not work so I had to call for help. I spent 2 hours the other night on the phone and they were unable to fix anything. I spent another 2 hours again in hopes of something getting fixed this time, and nope nothing was fixed. They know nothing about the services, they just read a script. My problem is still not fixed and they don’t even offer anything to make up for their mistakes. You might think now that you won’t ever need customer service (That’s what I thought), but as soon as anything goes wrong, you won’t be able to get it fixed and you’ll wish you didn’t have straight talk. Their customer service is so bad they might as well not even offer a customer service phone number and email.

Do NOT trust straight talk when they say you can keep your number should you choose to leave. When requesting my number be transfered, they refused to allow it to be ported. They wanted me to pay a fee to keep the number. This is an illicit deceptive way of trying to extort money. When I called to try and rectify this matter, my call was transfered to 6 different people. I was told many false statements and even had one gentlemen tell me there was no other supervisor to speak with. Umm, unless you are the one signing the checks there is always another rung above you. Without a resolution I contacted the FCC. They are very aware of this practice and had me file a formal complaint as this is an illegal. I also filed a complaint with the BBB.

dont buy this phone i had my street address on the order phone but they sent it to a po box knowing fed ex will not deliver to a po box when i called the company i could not reach anyone who spokre english i was put on hold 4 times for them to talk to a support group i asked to speack to a supervisor and the same person came on the phone and gave another name stating she was a supervisior i had to give them the same info 6 times they stated i would have to wait until they got the phone back to give a refund and this could take up to 30 days the money was taken out of my account the same day i ordered the phone this is unexceptiable and noone should have to go thur this frustraion

Drop calls all the time, got a extended warranty ..what a joke…phone dropped, cracked screen, called and said they would send phone, oh hell no they don”t, they want you to send it back before they send you a new one…so what are we suppose to do? No phone for who knows how long!

Email to straight talk this morning: This morning we used numerous minutes on my husband’s phone (***-***-****) attempting to resolve the issues. Once they verified I could make calls and send a text, the call ended. Approximately ten minutes later, I then attempted to connect to the internet using my phone – guess what? It would not work. I continue to get “Network Error”. I phoned your company back and after explaining my issue twice again and being put on hold twice at least, I was told they would have to reset my phone. Meaning, I would lose my info, pictures, texts, etc. I cannot afford to do that. We rescue dogs and I have numerous pictures, emails, texts, etc that I cannot lose. I was then told to wait 24 hours to see if it resets itself? Really? Your customer service never ceases to amaze me. Is this really the answer to the issue? No, we both know this. Yesterday I phoned your company due to my phone not working. After explaining my issue 3 times, explaining I had refilled my card and according to my online account, I should have service through April 14th, and being put on hold 6 times, I was told I needed a new sim card because mine was outdated! Our phones (and sim card) were just purchased (new) in the last 4-5 months. I explained to her I didn’t believe it would be the sim card due to the fact the phones/sim card is less than six months old. She insisted it was the issue. I was then informed your company would ship a new card to me, but it could take up to 7 days. I explained to her I could not be without my phone for 7 days as my elderly father is in a nursing home with health issues. I asked if they would overnight the sim card. She put me on hold to speak to someone upon her return, I was told “that is not possible”. I then asked for a phone number to speak to a live person when I phoned the company. I was given the same number I had used. The only way I had to contact the company was by listening to computer prompts which were attempting to refill my phone. Finally, when the computer prompts asked me for the number from my service card, I just start pushing numbers. I did this three times until the computer finally said “I’m sorry I am having trouble” and then I was sent to a live person. After this simple request for a phone number for a human being to talk to, I was then put on hold again. Upon her return to the line she once again, gave me the same number! It took three times of explaining to her the number she was giving to me was an all automated phone number to refill the phone. She said “yes”. On the fourth time of of explaining to her it was all automated and only to refill my phone, she indicated it was the only number she had to give me! Really? So, if I have this correct, in order to speak to a human (who is Asian, with an American name, whom I can barely understand), I have to call an automated refill line? That is in no way shape or form customer service in my opinion. I promptly hung up. Once I returned home, I emailed your company from your website regarding no service on my phone. My husband received a voicemail a few hours after I sent the email. It was a message to me from your company to returned your call. I did not call back until today. Why? Because my father was admitted to the hospital yesterday. Guess what? I could not receive the call from the nursing home, the hospital nor my sisters – why? Could it be lack of knowledge by your customer service department? Absolutely! You are more than welcome to verify this by phoning ********* Hospital in (state and city deleted). Last month I logged into mine and my husband’s accounts online and attempted to purchase minutes for both myself and my husband. Refilling mine went smoothly, his was another story. The screen continually informed me “no service for this zip code”. It is the same zip code we have both used since obtaining our phones!! Not only that, I had just refilled my own phone using the exact same zip code! He then phoned Straight Talk. He was told the same thing by the company “we do not offer service in your zip code”. After numerous attempts to explain to the “customer service department” *(4 different times) the zip code has always worked, he finally called back and asked to speak to a supervisor. It was then, and only then, did the issue get resolved and he could use his phone. The supervisor could not explain to him why the online account and the people with customer service department continued to tell him there was no service for our zip code. Within the past week, we can no longer use our cell phones inside our home as it continues to drop the calls. This was not an issue until recently. Both phones are experiencing this. I had a friend come over who also uses Straight Talk and had her attempt to make calls inside our house. She had the same issue. Nothing here has change so apparently the coverage, or towers have? I am currently in the process of finding another cell phone company. If this is what we have to look forward to and contend with every month, I would rather pay a higher price and not have to deal with such ridiculous issues.

Every month I have some kind of problem with my phone, it drops calls at least 4 a day my weather app will not update. I can”t use my internet more than half of the time. And when I call to have it fixed the people early speak english its vary hard to understand them. And most of the time they can not even help me. And when I ask to speak to a other person they tell me they are sorry but they can”t let me talk to another person… Its really getting old and vary frustrating. I’ve had this phone company for 10 years now and over the last few years have had difficulty with straight talk not fulfilling what the activation card each month says it will. They do not slow my data down after alltoment runs out often it is just completely turned off and non accessable. First of all let me say I recommended straight talk to all my friends and family until now. My husband bought a high end straight talk phone (Nokia e71) it was so complicated he decided to get a different phone. We were going to let my granddaughter have the nokia. We have been trying to activate with her old straight talk # for a week now to no avail. I have been on the phone with the customer service every day 2 to 3 hours at a time. They have sent us 3 different sim cards. They turned off her old phone and she has been without a phone for 5 days now. Every time you call you have to go thru the same explanations again. Seemingly they do not have access to any prior actions on the account. I finally gave up and told them to just turn her old phone back on and they kept me on the phone another hour and then told me they would have to send another sim card to do that. I told them her old phone does not have a sim card. They said I would have to put a new sim card in the new phone to turn the old phone back on. What??? There is no one who can help you. I asked if c. S. Is in the us and she said no. I said no wonder you cant get anything done. What is wrong with hiring people here in the us? So now we have 2 phones we can”t use and she had just bought a new service card and we have lost that too.

First they need to hire American speaking people. Second stop robbing the consumers. When theres a problem with there service fix it plan and simple. My complaint is the same as every other person on here. Ive waited for over an hr to speak to a supervisor, Ive been sent sim card after sim card, my reload card was nevered credited back to me straight talk stole my $45.00. CSR thinks turning the phone off then on will slove their defected product. Their phones as well as their CRS REPS are not that great. Just another reason why Donald Trump says keep it in America.

For over one year and 6 months my son and I have spent 1079.00 on 55 dollar unlimited data. I bought two within a two week period and every time we purchase the unlimited data they turn it off. For the last 4 months I have been trying Straight Talk prepaid card services. I was on the $45 that lasted 20 days I got the $60 plan that lasted 25 days which that was 10 gigs, this month I bought a $45 plan that within 5 days I have used 4 gigs impossible. No update or download where is the data going. I am just holding on until I find a better company. To use straight talk as a provider you must buy the $45 plan two to three times a month to have a full month of service.

Found out today that my net10 wireless account was canceled by someone with a straight talk account on 3/20/2017. The really horrible part is that they took the automatic payment from my net10 wireless account to pay for the straight talk account on 4/10/2017. I have the transaction id number that lists a phone with an imei that isn”t mine and an email from straight talk thanking me for the payment even though i”m not a straight talk customer. And, neither net10 or, straight talk seem capable of rectifying the situation even though, I have given them the name and the phone number of the offending party. I am a low-income individual. My youngest son is autistic, and my oldest is sick. If things were to get worse with either of them I would be royally screwed without a working phone. What I want now, is for both companies to admit where they dropped the ball-I mean, they let this guy cancel my account without checking with me to make certain it was me! I would like the money for the current service period refunded ($38.12 usd) and I would like both companies to cover the price of my buying a new phone as my current one has been compromised as well as transferring to a new carrier who is not part of their network.

Had Straight Talk for 1 year, suddenly four days ago my service was cut with 6 days remaining. Used the online chat and talked to 3 different barely english speaking “tech supports” on the phone, evidently all history of me having straight talk was gone, phone number didn’t show up in system or the straight talk sim card. Was basically told I never had straight talk, so I was completely cut off and the 45 dollar plan I had not used yet vanished and could not be refunded. I can’t be the only one whose account information vanished. Already on a different carrier.

Nor is the Straight Talk phone. The representatives are absolutely no help. They read there canned scripts and you get nowhere. This is my only phone number and also a business number. Hello, my mother, sister and I have had straight talk for many years now as our phone plan. In the last 2-3 months our cell signal has been very poor to the point that places where we had no issue calling from previously are now dead zones. There are very rarely any good service areas anymore. Nothing has changed in those areas so we assume it is the Straight Talk. Hello, my name is Cheyenne Watson and I have had service with you for about five years. I have never had a problem Until now. I did have a byop plan with a Samsung note 3. I recently bought a LG stylo through Wal-Mart that was a straight talk phone. I called the number provided to transfer my phone number and service. This transaction was supposedly completed. However my sim, which came in the straight talk phone I purchased, is “invalid”. There for my sevice did not transfer over. So now I have two useless phones and I”m paying for service I can not use. Hello, My name is Marilynn Boyd. I called you guys earlier because my phone was stolen. I”d given the young lady all of my info and then I was transferred again. They told me to do the automatic call back because it would take 30 minutes for a rep. Well, the rep has called me back and asked me could she help me, I gave her the info as well and she said hold on. Now, I have been on hold for 30 minutes. I am recording the call because I hear everyone talking in the background but no one is talking to me.
